Remember when

Did your grandmas wear a watch like this?

 

Remember learning to tell time this way.

 

It's still my mom's number, so of course I remember it. She's 97, and still lives in the house I grew up in.

 

Wing window plus these shorts, and a hand deflecting the airstream downwards. Keeps the sweaty boys cool. Wasps were not invited to the party.

 

Kind of remind me of Subaru STI colors.

 

Right after we got married I bought my wife an electric wok, which is kind of the same thing.

She still uses it from time to time.

We still have our electric wok with this same plug in. Wok is red, non-stick coating (no metal utensils), and works great! The lid is wimpy, dents very easily.
Was a wedding present 40 years ago.

 

Remember the wee bottle of cinnamon oil? You could coat your own toothpicks or match sticks.
Was all fun & dandy until it leaked in your pocket and seared your thigh! Would burn you bad in that sensitive area!!

 

Sounds a lot like the one we have.

 

I've used this argument many times without success

Yup, or a chair with the slide out steps..all kidding aside that thing has made life much easeir in my house

I remember numbers starting with WHitehall and VErnon, but those were relatives numbers not ours. Ours always started "28", and I don't recall there being a word for that.

 

Just because you're right doesn't mean you aren't crazy...
