    New poll!!!!

I've had several flats over the years.

First one was when I was 16 I was going to visit my uncle and had to go down a section of dirt road about a mile to get to his house, got a 3/8" Craftsman punch in my left rear, still have the punch somewhere. That truck had 33's on it and luckily I had a spare......at home. Dad to the rescue on that one.

Had one in the work parking lot one day due to spinning away from the dumpster, a rock got me.

Had a rock in another tire while hunting, luckily I had my plug kit with me.

Got a cut at a scrap metal place once, that took two plugs to get it sealed up.

Had 2 blowouts on a trailer 30 miles apart while hauling a tractor once.

Had one on my moms 1992 Toyota going to a race way back when (sorry mom).

Probably a few more I can't think of right now.

I've had one and a half flats.

The one was this weekend on the Highlander.

The half was we were headed out of town and the tire decided it wanted to expand out of the sidewall on the Neon. Put the spare on and limped it down the interstate to the nearest tire shop.

Have had quite a few flats. Mostly punctures, nails etc. One i hit curb broke through sidewall, one i was out in desert and hit a piece of rebar. One rock on dirt road we lived on in idaho. Weirdest one was in Texas i got a flat and they pulled a gas tube from a zippo lighter out of my tire. Nothing caused any major crash

    RE: new poll.

My most memorable flats happened when I was in college. Had a crap ass '79 Mustang with cast aluminum wheels and questionable tires. Lost control going around a curve and did a 180 into the curb. Both front and back wheels cracked at the curbline. Spent the next day corralling wheels, tires and a ride back to the car which was 2-3 towns over from home.. Good times :D

    'Morning all :hattip:

I decided to take the temp down slowly. The A coil was not really dirty at all, so I figure it's the freon. I just had to put tires on the Highlander, so we will be putting the freon recharge off till sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

3 kids. Not a bad idea to have them further away tho.

the highlander was a good to us. Bought it new in 2015. Just time for a change and we have always liked the 4Runners. Not quite as roomy but still comfortable for all of us.

I’ve had quite a few flats over the years.

walked out to one in the morning in high school. Had a nail in it.

Worked as a pilot car driver for a summer doing road construction. Had 3-4 flats that year from running over stuff that got blown into the road.

Few random go flats during the day. Was fine on the way to work. Walked out for lunch and it was flat. Put air in it and never went flat again.

punched a fist sized hole in the sidewall of a 37” Goodyear mtr on the rubicon trail. Slid sideways right into a nice sharp rock.

wife ran something over in the highlander one morning. Ended up with new tires on that trip since it wasn’t fixable.

    I’m sure there’s more I forgot about.

    Morning rant:

I called the county clerks office about registering my canoe. She said I can't because I don't have an HIN number. I said it was made before HIN numbers were attached to canoes. She says you have to have an HIN or you can't register it. So I called TWRA, they said you go to the county clerk's office with the bill of sale and ask for the application. All I need is the bill of sale, which I can get from my uncle.

If you are going to work at the county clerk's office, you should know what someone needs to register a boat/canoe. Or know how to ask a coworker. Or ask your supervisor.

Saw this exact thing happen in front of me in high school. Different year; same outcome. Must be a Mustang thing...

    Flats...

Usually I pick something up that causes a slow leak and usually have time to get it taken care of in a timely fashion.

Had a lowered S-10 in college. Found out on my way to work in the morning I had picked something up the night before. This was like flat, flat. Was an interesting morning.

Wife had a complete blow out on the way to work once. What ever got the tire also put a nice 1/2" slice in the edge of the steel rim as well.

My most recent was this asshole...

Me and tires have a long and colorfully worded relationship. I have plugged dozens of tires over the years plus had several total losses.

I live on a dirt road, off a dirt road, accessed by yet another dirt road. Years ago the town worked the roads with a stone rake which brought up all sorts of puncture worthy debris, one season I had 9 repairs with 3 vehicles. :annoyed:

Now they use a grader and roller so it isn't as bad. Then we have the mowers -- the biggest problem I have had with the ZT has been tires.

:gossip: For reasons unknown the wife has more tire problems than I do...

Sitting out here in the shop eating lunch and the lights flickered followed by a loud sound like a small cannon went off. There's a substation about a 1/4 mile up the street

For only 10 times the price of a pneumatic tire we will increase the lifespan by upto 2-3 times using the Michelin Tweel:eek:

I've seen those on some zero turn mowers, wonder if they ride rougher than a pneumatic?
