It's going to be fun, especially since I didn't walk forward of the "winching crew" work ended. That said, the little skidder is coming out and that will speed up a lot of the work. Here's some chopped up video of it traversing some mogul/angled embankment in the first 30 seconds...plus a few extra swampy/flooded crossings.

    https://youtu.be/bwaxAz7rd98

Also @Mojo Jojo I'll bring both saws, in case you wanted to use one, as well as the hackzall (with short pruning blade) and the hookaroon.

That means this weekend you're free, cause next weekend would be the 7th & 8th ;)!!!

You are technically correct but I can’t go wheeling two weekends in a row! Darn you baby George and family responsibilities.

I mean, George could sit in a kid seat and watch the frivolities. Or maybe this is why it's a good thing I don't have children.

Sounds good. I also bought not 1, but 2 of the Dewalt XR 5 amp-hr batteries (cue the Tim Allen grunt), which should hopefully last the better part of the day between the two of them. The old technology batteries I have (pre-XR) were not cutting it (pun somewhat intended).

pictures never do anything justice but here you can kinda see the transition from grey skys to green2676665C-9E22-4728-9302-14C70396B1FE.jpg

I've got an itch to run up FPK with the new suspension and try some features I've had to avoid up to now, maybe we hit that when you're free.

Hopefully we finish it THIS (not NEXT) Saturday and can run it a few times and break something.

I was at Wal-Mart buying a bag of Purina dog chow for my dog , in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog chow, RIGHT ??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up... in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in in......tensive care, with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a poodle's butt and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Better watch what you ask me and be prepared for my answer. I have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say. Now that you've read it I have to confess I stole this . Perhaps you may steal it to put a smile on someone's face.

Then I guess I just might surprise you. I worked retail security in another life. A lady walked up to me one day and said "Do you know where (insert store I can't remember) is?" I said yes and started to turn away. Then smiled and pointed to her left. You have to have fun sometimes.

I also had to handle a complaint from someone about a woman in a bikini in the mall. Someone didn't think it was appropriate for a "family retail center." While she wore it well, I had to ask her if she could kindly cover up a bit. She smiled and said of course. She returned from her car wearing matching fishnet "cover up." I just smiled and kept walking.
