The car show guys were just entitled old men; I worked at a bar for over four years, and literally nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to drunks.

That's not even the best story about a group home resident I have; Going back to drunks...

This was in probably 2013 or 2014, and this girl in her early 20s showed up at Puck and ran up a bar tab of roughly $84, which included a large meal and several drinks. When it came time to pay, she didn't have any cash or a credit card; Puck had an ATM, but she didn't have an ATM card either. She attempted to call her boyfriend or something, to no avial, and then started asking other customers if they could cover her; This pissed off the bartender, and the police were finally called. The police came and arrested her, but released her shortly after booking her (I saw her leaving the police station later that night); The girl's father showed up at Puck a day or two later and paid the tab in cash, and the charges were dropped. We later found out that this girl had both a drug problem and mental issues, and she had been residing in a group home; She allegedly left the group home without notifying anybody and showed up at Puck. She did have a valid driver's license, as she used this to buy alcohol at our bar, but she didn't have a car; I don't know where exactly the group home was, but I think she walked a good distance to get to Doylestown. I don't think "escaped" is the right word, but she was not supposed to be outside the group home at that time.

Ha! Murph sounds like my kinda dog for real.

My dog pretty much wants to eat strangers alive, mostly unknown men. Our walks are basically a game of "how far can you get away from people". We stay like 100yrds away from any living soul.

We've scared some folks pretty bad tho, when we accidentally get the jump on them especially at night (did you know people actually yell "Oh God! No!!", like in the movies when they think they're about to be mauled?) he's never touched anyone tho, thank God.

But I've had people yell at me, spit at my dog, one homeless guy threw his bicycle at me.
I have Syrian refugee neighbours living in some Habitat for Humanity joint next to me and they're serious dog haters, even the super harmless dogs. I've hadone of those guys follow me up the street in his leased 2010 rusted ass Echo honking at me yelling he was gunna put my dog down.

Ain't no skin off my back tho, they can all kiss my ass.

I agree….caning works. Micheal Fay that ass. I remember that in late 1993. I always enjoyed Singapore but you wouldn’t like it if you messed up. Lmao.

Enjoyed the video. That was great. I’m sure laying on his stomach for weeks to let his wounds heal was fun. Puts a new meaning to being buttsore.

Yup, some high functioning people at group homes can actually have a license. I know of some who can hold part time jobs even. But yes there are rules re leaving after certain times, depending upon the individual.

Entitled, more often than not means those who have worked their whole lives for what they own, take the time necessary to get permission to set up a show, secure a place, spend their money on advertising, block off the area parking for those in the show and parking for visitors, rent a speaker speaker system/tents/tables, spend hours going to businesses for door prizes & plaques, get volunteers to help parking cars on that day making sure to space all cars correctly which often with limited space is difficult to please all... Line up food/parts vendors, purchase trash cans/bags, cones, parking tape, pencils, pens, paper, secure volunteer firemen for traffic control...
On the day of get up at day break, setup everything, register participants, be on your feet all day on hot blacktop walking around keeping things running smoothly while you (listen politely to complaints), organize voting, distribute awards/door prizes, explain to people why bringing their large nervous dog is not a good idea (in which was advertised) watch people do crazy burn outs when they leave in which you begged them not to do with women and children walking all around and after you promised the locals it would not happen.

After 10 minutes everybody leaves with the exception of your wife and one friend you proceed to cleanup everything, return items, thank landowner and then as the sun goes down answer phone calls on so and so did this at the show and what all you've done wrong...

Definitely wasn't a staff member for the the car show or a volunteer; Even if he was, that does not "entitle" him to set up his folding chair precariously close to my truck (to the point that he could have scratched it) and use it as his personal sun shelter, blocking me from accessing my truck in the process. I wasn't slamming the people who set up and run the show; I almost reported this son of a bitch with the Lotus kit car to the people who set up and run the show.

Last September, I also got the organizer of a Gasket Goons show stripped of his golf cart privileges by his underlings because he almost ran me over with said golf cart, jumped out of that cart and started screaming at me because he felt he had the right of way, and then challenged me to a fight because I flipped him for jumping out of the golf cart and swore at me.

He had also almost run over two other car show attendees because he was driving the golf cart like a maniac and then admonished them when called out for it. One of the people who almost got run over was an attractive woman, and she was one of several people who witnessed me calling out the guy in the golf cart, and subsequently praised me.

The guy in the golf cart threatened to kick my ass in front of a huge crowd of people, when the whole confrontation was due to his reckless driving, and ended up on barbecue duty for his poor behavior.

My response to almost being run over by the guy was "Jesus Christ; Look where you're going!" or something along those lines, at which point he stopped the golf cart, jumped out, and started swearing at me. I flipped him off, and he actually started coming at me like he wanted to fight, but one of his more levelheaded buddies stopped himself; I reported his actions to another show staffer and he got in trouble. Karma's a bitch! :luvya:

I don't know why people think I got into it with someone running the car show, because that wasn't the case...

As stated above, the entitled old man I ordered to move his chair so he wasn't blocking my driver's side door had no involvement with setting up or running the car show; He was another guy showing his vehicle, like me, and he seemed to think it was okay for him to use my truck as shade from the sun without asking my permission. His car was parked to the right of my truck, and he was sitting on the left of my truck, so he wasn't even next to his car; He was also practically touching my truck with his folding chair, which could have scratched it. I only started to get irate with him when he initially didn't want to move and couldn't comprehend why he couldn't sit where he was sitting.

Another time at Puck on September 11th, 2016 I lost my patience with a clueless bicycle race official. This was just weeks before my neighbor helped me install the backup camera; It was a Sunday, and only the 15th anniversary of 9/11, but also the day of a huge bike race. These were serious cyclists who were going incredibly fast, and most of the major roads in the inner borough were closed; I believe that our ice maker was broken, so I had to make a few trips that day to get ice from 7-Eleven.

The aforementioned race official would let me drive across Pine Street from the Puck parking lot to Garden Alley as illustrated in the screenshot below; At the start of one of these ice runs, the race was approaching and the official told me I had to back up.

I looked out the back window, noticed that there was a family with a baby in a stroller in my path, and slowly backed up as far as I could; I stopped and the official continued to scream at me to back up.

I have Aspergers Syndrome, and being repeatedly screamed at is one of those things that triggers my sensory overload.

I put the truck in park and left it where it was with the bumper partially sticking out onto Pine Street, jumped out, got right up in the official's face, and screamed "There is a family with a baby directly behind my truck; I am not going to floor it in reverse!"

At that moment, the bike race whipped by, coming nowhere near the bumper of my truck; Needless to say, that official let me pass through those barricades without question for the rest of the day.

i think he was agreeing with you, that the people that attend the show are entitled. Not the people running the show.

I just wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding; That particular time, I was most angry about the guy having his chair right up against my truck than anything else!
