    It's been a mess for years with a huge influx of visitors. Last year the BLM released their plan to start cracking down and institute permits.

    If you look at any of the influencers drone videos, you can see dozens of vehicles within a few hundred feet once they adjust the view of the camera to show the background that isn't shown in their curated photos.

    That's kind of what I figured. Seems like how things are here with the added bonus of being in California and having so many goddamn people roughly nearby.

    Still though, Jim clearly got a nice little sliver of it to himself. Beautiful place

    It is still a cool place to hang for a few days. Yes it has a ton of camp sites. Some are close but not like a state campground. It’s still free and has AWSOME views. There is a ton of very cool places to visit in the area. Death Valley is close as is Bishop and surrounding mines. Best is you can pop into town for pizza! Gota check out Witney portal when in the area.
