Favorite Whiskey?

So you’re sooooo hot for Weller. Which one are you after? Even at secondary the SR isn’t very expensive.

 

It’s not so bad until you add shipping and then it gets kinda dumb.

I’d be interested in either but I’d really love to get my hands on the Antique 107.

Nah. Shipping adds a little, but even at 200 I'm fine with it for those labels. Thought about getting 2 lol.

Yeah. I've been in plenty of 300 to $1k bottles and they're good, but they're not 10-30x better than my regular Monkey Shoulder or Calumet 8.

Diminishing returns on whiskey cost come fast. I mostly drink the stuff I like in the 30-60/bottle range and don't sweat the hot labels like Weller. Leave that to the elitists, who I don't have time for anyway.

 

A Tuesday after work didn’t seem like the right time for the EC18, soooooo. Drinking one of my absolute favorites.

 

I just want to try it. I’ve taken to calling around to bars to see if anyone has it, been working out about the same as trying to buy some in the store.

 

I *just* discovered Bowman Bros a couple months ago and think it's great for the price. It's a regular in my cabinet now.

 

This is in my local exchange and been wanting to try it as well.

 

Buy it. I’m serious. I bought three bottles. I go back for more and more…. It’s amazing. (At least on my pallet). Probably the one I enjoy most often.

Having a pour at a bar is a great way to try things. I had a pour of William Larue Weller for $60 a few weeks ago. Is that insane? YES, but considering I’ve never seen a bottle and secondary is thousands…. I feel like $60 was cheap.

Monkey Shoulder is one I don’t hear mentioned often. I always have a bottle of that around as well. Very enjoyable. Calumet I’ve never tried but it’s an NDP which I generally shy away from…. Not that they can’t be great I just don’t normally go that way, save for a few bottles I have around. Monkey Shoulder is a good bottle to add for a great price.
