You probably have it embedded in all these pages however, I may have over looked it
.. I'm switching from my aluminum bumper to DO steel bumper.(120ish lbs) my question is .. how do you like the 650# spring set up ? I'm currently on ome 887s but looking to go to fox or kings

This place (my build thread) is a shit show.

I am happy with them. Not sure how well 650's would be with a steel bumper. You might have to run 700's. I didn't go that route because I didn't want to have a stiff front end

Very true. My neighbors on either side are retired and I'm in my 40s but we get on well.

I'm on 6112s with 650lb springs. The ride is nice and smooth. I have a Coastal Offroad HC Front bumper with full hoops and an Apex 12k Winch currently. ATM I don't have my sliders or skids on yet.

full steel or full hybrid? I have a hybrid Pelfrey with Smittybilt X20 winch with synthetic line and steel skids, and I like the 650# over 700s. If you are doing a full steel with or without hoops, Id suggest 700

find a 650# spring that's longer so you get a cushy ride but not so much preload is also an option.

Hmm, I was under the impression that my steel hybrid bumper was 110lbs.. Aluminum must be 60

Like Conner suggested, I would buy the longer 650lb coils and then adjust the preload.

Saves time, effort and money than bouncing between springs and will get your dampening dialed.

I was able to install my aluminum Pelfrey (winchless) on my own. Mind you this was pre-chapter 7 so I didn't have to lift all the weight of the customers they screwed over

My coastal full plate bumper was 104lbs before I welded on it.

Everyone has their preference. Fox was not an option due to the salt they put down. They're known for rusting pretty badly

I'm 23 in hub to fender in front and 24.5 hub to fender in rear.. so hopefully with everything I'll stay at same height..I'm waiting to get the bumper before i touch shocks... I feel like a noob again with all this... I wasn't planning on changing armor until I found out about the company I have everything with

Like I said, coilovers can get your height dialed in as long as you don't crank up the preload.

Fox was on my list until I asked around locally.

Icon top hats blow apart (another local)

It was between Kings and ADS.

I was going icons until people around here were talking that they just leaked more and were equal to ome as a basic coilover

I have S0S concepts. So I'm looking to slowly convert to better reputable companies and so I can Actually winch...seem sos aluminum fail while winching
