I'm sure they do. It's too bad we can't come together and collectively tell them to pound sand. Some people have too much money and too little sense.

I definitely wish we would all stick together. I have offered 2k over and have essentially been told to F off multiple times. They also said "some one else will buy it" (at 10k over!)....and so far they were right They have all have sold

Multi-thousand dollar Dealer adjustments. BS but I can see why.
Thousands of dollars of Unnecessary add-ons. BS
Preventing you the freedom to decide where your financing comes from (and preventing you from obtaining an accurate personal credit derived interest rate). I think that is attorney worthy. That does not seem legal.

I hear you guys! Makes it important to take note and make sure that everyone knows about the dealerships that are doing it. Not just that it happens but the actual name and location of the dealerships. The more we post the specifics here and the other threads that deal with this the better. People will remember the crap that is going down and it will affect the dealerships later on.

I found a video that directly relates to explaining the effectiveness and cleared up some thoughts for me when it come to the Westcott lift. I have to do a little more reading but this video helped me.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

No it's illegal to require financing, or a trade in. They can "reduce" the net total by giving you credit on financing or a trade in. But the price is the price.. I was shittinv bricks because I never told my dealer I was paying cash. On a EL PRO, Turned out, she didn't give a fuck. That was the financing guys problem. So it's all smoke and mirrors. Get them to agree on a price, without mention of trade in or financing options. Then ride that pony home!

I am 100% positive, they would have quoted msrp+5000k if they knew I was paying cash (I got mine at msrp) But I had a temporary Vin and a deposit. So it's on them.

After living with this truck a few months I'd say.
    1. It's worth every penny at msrp, it's not worth paying 5k or 10k extra unless you have 5k or 10k extra. Then it's worth every penny. If you love it.
    2. It's a truck, a truck that my 07 sport can compete with, and that any 2022 offroad can compete with. Let the cards fall. If you get one great, if you don't, I'll want your 2024 solar octane g4 tacoma

Not getting this color, year. Could be a blessing. If your lucky enough to get a g4 hybrid assist like tundra.. ill take shitty waste gates over this sad ass 3.5 any day. At least I can "fix" waste gates. All I can do to this piece of shit motor is modify it until it dies.

I'm super depressed after this truck. The difference between my 4.0 and 3.5 are NOT represented by graphs or torque numbers. This drive train is getto

My g2 is a manual, and I've never driven a g2 auto. But holy Christmas trees.. its like I gave up 'dasher, prancer, and comet for a red nosed reindeer. Which would be fine. But with LED headlights, even his nose ices over... I might be going back 2 g2.

A salesman from Jones Junction in Bel Air, MD contacted me. They have an EL Pro on the lot.....they're asking a few bucks under 65k for it. o_O

Sounds like you should give the kdmax tune a try. There is a great thread on here about it. Absolutely essential for the automatic transmission. Helpful for MT. Its going to be my first mod.

I appreciate the perspective. I want this truck but I’m also really considering transferring my deposit to the 2023 TRD Pro Sequoia. I’d ideally like a vehicle I can tow bigger things with and drag my 2 St Bernard’s around in without making them sit in the bed.

Um that Sequoia is ridiculously amazing. If you have the cash, I'd roll big. They make sliders all kinds of shit for that thing too.

I love love love my EL Taco, but if you don't get one at msrp or a price your willing to pay. Don't do it

    It's a taco

Edit: to explain a little, I exited a dirt road sideways into a corn field about a week ago.. this truck truly might have saved my life. But during recovery. My truck was pitched at a very awkward angle. The switch could not get the 4x4 to engage

I'll second @drvn on the KDMax Pro tune. I just got one a few weeks ago and the difference is night and day.

    Give Adam a shout.

    A few.
Things seem to be getting out of control. There is a dealer in my area in PA thats listing a new 22 Tundra Trd Pro for $92k and the msrp on those is $68,800.

Ordered the same kit yesterday as well. Even with the kit the stocks on 285/75 will rub then? ☹️ I messaged westcott designs and they said 0 offset 285/75/16s or 285/70/17s would work with no cutting or trimming with the kit.

Correct. Our wheels are +13mm offset and 285s will rub the new style UCA on the 2022 pro. A 3/4” wheel spacer will clear the UCA and gives an offset of -6. You could of course get new wheels with that offset for the same effect.

I wanted to get the Summit offroad wheels that have a 0 offset but those are 5 lug. And the other option is a -25 offset on them that are 6 lug so they won't work.

I haven't really looked at aftermarket wheels but my understanding is the options are slim in 0 offset. The other thing to consider is the stock wheel is 7" wide and almost all aftermarket options are wider than that so that could factor into the fitment as well.

Yeah I really been looking in to finding some with 0 offset, because I would like to run 285s but rather not use a spacer . Found these rrw wheels that I like with a 0 offset but like you said these are 8.5 and out of stock anyways at the moment.
