The condensation fog absolutely goes away. I would be concerned with that much inner beading though. Just keep an eye on it.

Side note can I get a picture of the vinyl on the tailgate? Been thinking about doing mine recently.

That’s exactly how mine look from time to time. Pretty sure it’s normal but I’ll be keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get worse. It comes and goes.

What?? I have the V1 headlights. Didn't know they made a V2. Is there a swap program to trade in the V1s for V2s?

Well yes I figured that. Didn't know if there was a major issue with them to where they were recalling the V1s.

Admittedly I don’t know much, but i think it’s an upgraded, newer iteration.

There were things our local lighting guru (crashnburn) pointed out that showed how the V1s kind of underperform vs the OEM projectors, which were fixed or improved upon in the V2. The comparison should be in the pinned lighting thread

Regarding the opened units, are these tail lights plastic welded shut like OEM or are they sealed similar to headlights with Butyl? It does seem they are sealed differently. If it is the latter, would that mean we can pop these in the oven and customize them?

Kind of want to change the matte black to a satin/glossy black to match OEM.

I recall Meso stating he received a certain amount from Morimoto unsealed on purpose so he could play around and modify some. I don’t believe he’s opening these up

Yes, I remember him mentioning that a while back. So I know about the unsealed units he got. But to seal them will he plastic weld them shut or use butyl to bind and seal them? Cause if the latter was also done to the mass production units, then they can be opened by popping them in an oven like when opening the headlights.

Looking at the my MoriMeso tails, they "look" to be sealed differently vs OEM, but only Meso can really confirm it.
