Trying ... really ... we're keeping grandfurbaby (85 lb) German Shepherd named Loki while kids are away. Loki and our 13 lb Skipperke "Shadow" go through stormin' and normin' everytime deciding who's in charge...oddly enough, Shadow generally wins. Anyhow, being quiet so I can sleep is not a priority for them this afternoon. No worries, Danny is driving to work tonight, we carpool/take turns, ... and my last shift this set, I'll tough it out be OK.

Well ,we gots a whole bunch of rain this afternoon. I might have to mow for the first time this year before the weekend. If it’s dry enough

Last spring frost around here is May 10 . So no vegetables getting planted or food plot seed going down until after that date .

 

I know that can be a problem...we've had a couple light showers last two nights ... I'm thankful for them 'cuz it settles the dust and glacier silt outta the air. Air quality gets pretty bad during break up if it's too dry and/or windy.

My yard can be that way... The culvert going under the road in one spot is definitely not making me feel real easy.

I can definitely tell where the septic leech field is; always greener in that area.

when i went TDY to Alaska and there was block heater plugs in the parking lots, i knew AK wasnt for me...i will say it is beautiful. Just too damn cold

 

Glaciers grind rock as they recede and extend ... think those are the right terms... anyhow creates this really fine dusty silt. Snow and ice combine with the silt thru Winter. When snow melts silt is released. That's my very layman's MooseMan understanding. Hope it makes sense.
