Even with a jumper attached it still just cranks . Would a bad battery just cause it to crank? Even with jumper on it?

If it's cranking it should fire. No new codes?

Time to restart at the basics then. Air, fuel, compression and spark.

    Air flow is unrestricted.

Fuel is at appropriate pressure and flow.

Compression, engine is turning over fast enough.

Spark, tough to check spark with these coil on plug designs... can't pull a wire off and check anymore... maybe the reader can verify spark.

Edit, with your battery level low and on a charger, the engine cranking fast enough would be the one I might start with...

Pull up some pids. Fuel psi etc. idk what special functions Toyota has but it’s probably worth playing with.

So you crank it and spray starting fluid into it, and it tries to kick over. Sounds like you might have a fuel issue. Are you absolutely sure you have fuel to the rails?
