How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

My dealer just emailed me saying my truck build has been delayed...again. Was suppose to be built last Friday the 22nd. Now they're saying it will be this Friday the 29th. Not sure what the hold up is. I don't have the tech pack or anything. They're suppose to be calling me later tonight with more info. I'm beginning to think it will never be built and/or they'll just tell me something like Toyota cancelled their allocation. Not sure how some of you guys handled about a year wait for yours.

 

That would make sense and man I really hope so. That new tundra front end looks mean as hell

 

About mine made it through right before all the slowdowns. Course I've been waiting over a month for it to be delivered. Hopefully I'll have it by the weekend.

 

My wait was driving me nuts, so I had to find something else to obsess over. Just wait until you start literally dreaming about it. Then you know you're nuts.

 

I just put a $500 deposit on a black manual OFF road that’s scheduled to be built next month. Your dealers are lying to you…. They’re coming in slowly, like everything else

 

Well I was bored so I went by the dealer to see what's up . . . they said they got *nothing* coming in May and that I should hope for June. I was looking around the floor and I found this



so I dumped my Tacoma order and bought this Hilux SRV Diesel 4x4 for 720.000p!! (About 36k USD)








Hahahaha yeah riiiiiiiiiiiiiight, they said it wasn't available and the wait is 6-8 months for one from Indofkknnesia. So I'll stick to the ETA of June-July for my Tacoma.

BTW I noticed my paperwork has a "VIN" but it's not anything near the standard 17 character format. It's "DPA22026514" which I assume means absolutely nothing and will be of zero help to me at all. :'(

 

I wish somebody tell me when my Tacoma is coming I my asked my dealership to allocate it back in mid February but it will probably take June and July before it built probably because it’s an access cab m/t Technology package too and I live in the Missouri does somebody have the May allocation sheet come out yet

 

you need to expand your search to other dealers/ areas. Right now you’re stuck on one dealers allotment…

Do you have a week 13 build? Could you give us the last 6 digits of your temporary VIN? My temp VIN is 13B934. Was scheduled for the 22nd but has been moved to the 29th.

 

Check with “Dan The Man” at Fletcher Toyota in Joplin. He will work very hard for you. Don’t give up.

 

Yup, week 13. Last 6 are 13C909. Was told 2 weeks ago that it would be built on the 22nd (after being delayed from the end of March). Now the dealer emailed me saying it would be the 29th...also said he'd call me after 5pm with more info but haven't received a call yet...

When I was looking for the truck, my dealer sent me several of their allocated Vspec sheets. They had another week 13 build w/ the tech package and that temp VIN stopped working a couple days ago. I am assuming it was built. last 6 of that one was 13C603.

 

13C351 Not built yet as far as I know. Was supposed to be the 20th.

 

You watch, your truck will be built tomorrow. My sales guy has been very honest and trustworthy. My build dates have moved week to week but the day of the week has always been consistent.

 

It seems to be that once Toyota has informed the dealer that the truck has been built, they will be updated via an email.
I have really relied on this forum for updated information along with my sales guy. He deserves a crown after all this if it wasn’t for charging me MSRP
Now Friday cannot get here soon enough!

 

Got a call from the dealer. Truck finally made it to Houston. From there “it’s pretty quick” since we are just a highway away. Going in Thursday to put a contract on it and lock in the rate.

Picking mine up tomorrow at 2pm. The wait is almost over!

 

I just picked up the one that I originally walked out on because of the EXTREME lowball trade offer. There was a 1,500 markup, but I negotiated to knock off $500 from that, and then got the additional $500 graduate rebate because my wife just got her master’s last year. I was at the dealership for 4 hours though! When I bought my Focus ST, I was in and out in like 40 minutes.


Anyway, quite a few manuals in NJ. Mine is a manual. Toms River has a manual ($4k markup). Glen Toyota has 2 manuals (one OR in stock and it’s MSRP! and the other is a Sport that is allocated but is being built early May…there’s a $4k adjustment on that one for some reason though). And I do believe I came across a few others that are already in inventory, but have markups. I wasn’t trying to chance missing out on a MT.
