Pre-Runners definitely do not belong in a NW forum thread. Go down to San Diego or any part of Arizona and it seems 90% of pre-runner tacos have been fitted with big ridiculous fiberglass pre runner fenders

My feeling is that PreRunners (the toyota package from the factory, not this thing) are fine for the guys with weekend projects, a business vehicle such as yardwork or handyman, or the average homeowner type. The vehicle is understandably not an offroad machine, but good for those who might want to get a load of wood, barkdust, etc., and deliver it in their backyard. 2WD is fine for them, and the locker gives the benefit of getting out of an occassional slippery situation.

I am more disgusted with those that demand a 4WD because of the winter storms  or a small man/small peen/scared wife/macho/ignorant complex.

    If things were my way,
-Dump the Sport. Make the hood an accessory.
-dump all trim packages that are below the PreRunner. make the PreRunner the base model
    -Keep the OffRoad
-I don't care what happens to the XRunner, I guess it's fine

Remember, the offroad enthusiast isn't a typical consumer - and I wouldn't want it that way. My sister in law does not need sliders on her Camry.

I almost couldn't say it better myself. Although I disagree on the pre-runner being the base model. I would much rather have a fuel efficient little 2 door single cab 5 lug tacoma to drive around instead of a civic if I had to go to efficient vehicles. (not that it's the greatest, but it's better than a 6 lug prerunner)

Pardon ignorance, I need to amend my list. The PreRunner would be available as a 4cyl reg cab as well. I thought there was already that option. I'm just eliminating the base model and SR5 options and making it simpler, because it's kinda senseless to get it w/o the SR5 options. Also the base model seats need to be the same as you get on Sport/OR versions. Butts need lovin'.

Washed my truck today. Haven't hand washed her in god knows how long and all I got to say is HOLY HELL! Pin stripes everywhere! And rock chips on both sides. Gotta go to Toyota tomorrow and get a touch up paint for those chips.

I got to do mine as well. My passenger side is leaking :(

oh it was easy, the first one took me another heat cycle in the oven because i took my time taking it apart. When you do the second light you know the order to do things, i ended up taking the 2nd light apart in less then 1 minute. lol
