Ha, yes I did say that. As I got more comfortable with specific mods is when I’d pull the trigger. Sooner or later though I’ll get in over my head and won’t have the help I’ll need to get me back on track. The 3rd gens with a regear and a tune get very good reviews and have peaked my interest. :notsure: We’ll see.

Compared to what you're currently rolling around in I can only see disappointment happening. Those reviews are most likely in comparison to a stock truck, how many came from supercharged to non SC with a regear and tune I wonder?

I’ve thought about that and know I’d be taking a step down in performance

I went thru this when I moved from a supercharged ('04) 1st Gen to a N/A ('13) 2nd Gen. I convinced myself the stock 4.0 V6 would be good enough. It was not, and I was shopping superchargers within a year of buying the truck. Having driven a friend's 6-spd Turd Gen, I'm almost certain you'll end up in a similar situation, regardless of gears, @JuanitoBunito.

SAIS reinstalled. *sad panda* Need to get the HPTuners out and re-tune to turn that thing back on. gotta be honest, though, with the k&n filter mod on the SAIS pump, it does make a nice wine to complement the supercharger. Gotta call the dealer tomorrow and see if they want the factory intake back on. @JustDSM I'll likely be emailing you this week after the engine is all settled back to stock-ish, to make sure the afr and everything is ok.

I’d swap the intake if you have it. You could sell yours for an easy couple hundred. Give someone a deal and make a few bucks

For the guys using the Dayco pulley 89515 for idler pulley #1, which bearing are you using? I tried the Timken 6203-2RS-C3 bearing but seems a tad bit too small. Slides right in without having to press it.

I am using the OE bearing that it came with. It can handle supercharger pulley sizes up to a 2.7 without an issue, so it's a good solution which is capable of speeds handling most of our applications. If you are higher altitude and are using a smaller pulley or are running higher levels of boost in general then you will need to replace the bearing for sure.

I was having a lot of issues grabbing a Timken bearing, so I never tried it.

Thanks for the confirmation. I’m all stock as far as the supercharger, but it’s tuned with HP tune. I’ll go ahead and run the oe bearing.

do you think it’s the gates RPM version of the supercharger belt that could be part of the issue? I changed the original belt with the rpm version about 3 years ago. This time I went with the normal gates replacement belt

    Well worth it.

This is the 2nd truck I've had a TruTrac in - wouldn't drive without one!

Need to go clean it again, but the engine is back to stock-ish. Cam gears and lt headers staying in. But ready to sell

I should really get my maintenance done so I will then get a remote tune already.

I just did this. I noticed the fan will turn on when ever the blower is on, regardless of the ac button on or off. Maybe its my '06. But still better than the compressor signal. Thanks for this find.

I only tested the circuit with the AC on, didnt even think of testing with the AC off but with the blower on.
