2022 sr5 came with red accent stitching

My Son painted some plastic interior parts 20 years ago and it still looks great.

 

Here is what mine looks like. The inferno red stitching on the seats is subtle but blends well well with the bezel and other similar color items I have added. I get it that the red accents are not everyone's cup of tea, but it definitely sets your truck off from the rest of the pack

 

I'm sorry finally got around to posting the ;ics. its on all 4 doors and the dash. its not the end of the world. The seats are tolerable but the dash and door panels got to go

 

When I had Katzkin leather installed I also had the door panels covered to match. It might be worth it to talk to a local upholstery place about how much it would be to cover the door panels in black leather / vinyl.

 

Oof.... thats not what I was expecting..... thats a lot of red!

 

Whoa, I didn't realize that this was what you were describing. Personally i think it is awesome and you will have the coolest SR5 on the block! I'd roll with that for awhile before breaking out the scalpel.

 

That looks awesome!!! I didn't even know that was a possibility. Rock the hell out of that!
Otherwise find someone to trade with cause trying to paint/dye all that is likely to disappoint even more.

 

If you were in upper Midwest, I'd swap with you. I like it.

 

Why did you accept it if it's not what you ordered?

Thats the same patterns as my sr5 only in burnt orange. I thought it looks fine. Different strokes for different folks.

 

wow dude. i got the red dash bezel and the redstich seats but no the other stuff. i don't like that they put that red fabric. too. did the window sticker mention anything about this?

 

Nothing about the red stitching until it showed up. The salesman said he was shocked too. If you look on the Toyota website blk, white and gray interiors are out of stock. If there was another blk truck on the lot i would have switched it out for sure but, in todays times we get what we get. I am just glad that the exterior isn't Pink

 

I originally ordered (requested) my SR5 in Barcelona Red with the gray interior. When truck was allocated (a week 10 build) it was listed as a black interior with red stit ching.

I asked my salesman if they had a truck with that black interior I could look at. They did, I did. I liked the look especially with a red truck. All black is dull and boring and a little red accents it very nicely. I think it makes a nice highlight to the black.

Feedback from everyone who has seen it has all been positive.

 

If Toyota feels the need to splash color in a black interior they should match the body color or give a customer a choice of a few different colors including all black..myself I'd prefer all black and 2nd the burnt Orange / Carmel color..not so much the red with some of the body colors choices..

 

I am not sure but I don't think the black with red is available on all colors. Anyone know for sure?

 

That’s what the dealer was allocated so it was most likely an oversight on their end. OP probably waited mos for a truck and doesn’t want to wait an another unknown amount of time for a replacement . Not like he can just pick out another one on the lot.

 

As far as I can tell the red will randomly be installed on the SR5 (and possibly sport) trims. There is no rhyme or reason on which truck it shows up on. The bezels and steering wheel trim will also randomly be either silver, MGM, or inferno on all non-base trims. (SR gets black dash bezels by default). Roll of the dice.

 

Problem is dealer does not have to deal, as it will sell. I would not paint the interior. BAD IDEA. If you hate it that much, just have them ship the correct one to you. If it was me, I would likely keep it, as I like the red accents.

 

Match exterior color is reasonable. How bad would OPs stitching be on the lime???
