No idea if any gains. But I figured why not, cant hurt and the look doesn't bother me. I have 42k on my truck so even if its .1mpg improvement then great.

    OMG!

It must be Friday. I was wondering what the heck...why the photo of the trailer...then I saw the Red Arrow. lol

Mine is in the shed in my backyard along with the thin skid plate that came off when I installed the TRD Skid.

    happy Friday!!!

I'll leave it off. Turns out I chose the worst possible time to take it off as last week was very windy. MPG is the same as without the dam when the weather is nice.

    25 mpg today (9.3 litres per 100km):

I saw this 9.3 on the center screen pic and almost had a heart attack lol, you Canadians! I get approx. 13-16mpg on the freeway, depending on how windy it is, how fast i go, and how flat it is. I'm far from stock at this point though, and my truck never even thought about having an air dam. I'd vote scrap the air dam, its a truck not a honda civic.

Just back from 1500 miles with my MT 6 Sport, Shell on the back and most of the trip driving quietly with a canoe or kayak on the top just cruise controlling the interstate limit, 23.5 was the worst tank, 25.1 the best. And I swapped my air dam for snow plow push plates when shortly after I got the truck last spring. I did swap that fake scoop hood for a OR hood.

Have kept mine on, never bothered me. Mentally I felt like it offered some protection/deflection of road debris....even if it doesn't. I will consider removing it if I ever end up getting the TRD skid plate.

I have an off road they didn't come with one. I had a road trip to Los Angeles last year and I found a free take off that I slapped in for the trip.

My mpg didn't do anything different. Didn't feel any different like it was more planted or anything.

I'm just one guy but I have no desire to put it back on after having zero benefit.

    That is too funny.

Taken to the extreme "for sure" about a non-functional skewp.

Those of us who have one, appreciate it.

It's not confusing...more so, a preference that doesn't make sense to those who don't have a skewp. I bought a "Sport" for that particular reason.

EDIT: The Sport is more for road driving as opposed to Off Road activities.

Would you just come up to somebody and offer them some money for a part of their vehicle that you like?
Just a little weird that guy came to me out of nowhere and started offering me money for my hood. Like you, I bought my sport for a particular reason.
I know everybody have their own preference. I’m not trying to convince or tell people what to do with their tacos. :D Don’t misunderstand what I said.

It is bizarre...I'll give you that.

Why they would ask (to buy a skewp hood) in the first place says a lot about their initial choice in a vehicle...after the fact.
