Oh there will be some mods all right
I absolutely love how I can post a car that I find in the woods and someone identifies it each time!

These two trees were next to each other and stood out amongst all the surrounding tree friends. The one with the intertwining vines had the vines climbing as far as I could see up the tree. As to the one with the holes, it looked to be of natural causes yet strangely odd and out of place. Maybe a woodpecker found a treasure trove of grubs or something.

Might be an old lightening scar. Tree survived and it's trying to heal.

Found these three items rotting in the woods while exploring areas around Shaver Lake.

Curios if anyone has any thoughts on what the welded up "table" might have been crafted for. Angle iron and rebar. I was thinking maybe to hold some kind of crucible over a fire? Doesn't seem like you'd be able to get it hot enough to melt much of anything, though.

Bee box was just a shell... no innards or other boxes in sight. Thought about calling the apiary to report the find in case it was leftover from theft; but, given how long it had obviously been rotting there along with the lack of any other "evidence" in sight... I didn't figure it'd worth it.

In any case: Turned it all into a Pintrest-worthy plant table for my better half.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The horseshoe should be pointed up. That keeps the luck from running out.

I thought so. But apparently whoever manufacturered the horseshoe didn't know... Because it actually says "good luck" on it but would be upside down if faced the other way. Ha.

Anyone know what this is? Off of fairly remote gravel road somewhat close to a river.

I believe what we have here is a case of "dont piss off the skidder operator", though its hard to say for sure. Been out there for quite a while though. Absolutely demolished too, you can see the frame was ripped in half in the last pic

I can't see why it would be high voltage unless there is buried cable, looks like everything is grounded? Do they store boats there and use a solar electric fence to prevent critters from making them their homes?

No storage of any kind, no houses or buildings. I'm at a complete loss as to what it is.
