My second set of Amazon hood latches seized up again after a year, so I decided to get the real deal Quik-Latch P/N QL-25-303 in 303 stainless steel.

Unbolt your front skid plate, I squeezed my hand through the hole instead and cursed a lot trying to get the front portion steady to be bolted up to the stupid top plate. Also use an impact driver if you have one, I almost stripped one of the torx bolts somehow, probably chinesium

that being said it’s a 15 min job

 

I know someone here will know this, so random question. Does anyone know how to remove this lower dash switch panel piece?


Does it just pry out from the edges or is it a more involved removal? I want to install something along the lines of:

in one of the blank spots for a GMRS radio install.

 

easier to just unbolt the radio and stick your hand down and pop the blank from the backside

This part should fit there. The one you posted looks like it's a skinny long Toyota, and that's only found on the driver's side switch panel. Also, try asking over here.
