I've ran my 2nd gen for many years with a procomp leveling kit ( 3.5" front - 2" rear) with 33" tires and 1" wheel offset spacers. I've never had any issues other than the ride being a little rough. I decided to fix that recently and went with Bilstein 5100's all around. Since the front 5100's spring stops were set at 2" I pulled the front pro comp strut spacers which dropped the front about an inch or so. Now I get some tire rub at compression and 3/4 full turn. I think I will put the strut spacers back, bringing the total lift to around 5" and add an AAL set to the back to bring it up level.

What else do I need to consider to eliminate issues with drive/cv angles, etc. Down the road? I'm open to suggestions.

Lolol. You can't just start stacking lifts like that. Your CV angle would tear itself apart immediately. You'd have zero down travel. If you need that much lift because you have too big tires, and by too big I mean actually waaay too big for your truck. Then you have to do a drop bracket lift

Edit: now I see you're only on 33s. Just cut stuff. Easy

Get an alignment targeting a caster of 3+ then start cutting where you rub.

Won't work, your upper arms will bottom out against the coils.

Either set the 5100's to 0 and put the spacers back on, or perform the cab mount chop. Many cities have shops that will do it for around 200-250$ now.

Like @Wyckedan said you’ll need to go to a drop bracket lift for anything over 3 1/2 inches.

Thanks for all the good comments. I'm no stranger to metal work but don't know a lot about suspension so all your comments are appreciated. I'll do some research on the cab mount chop and bracket lifts. And maybe even consider some cutting. Thanks again!
