I've had the 9.0 version running for over 2 years, with very few complaints. The occasional software upgrade might do something unexpected, but otherwise this unit plus the Carlinkit dongle for Carplay have worked flawlessly with a total outlay of $430. My logic at the time was that I could buy this unit 3 times for the cost of a Pioneer. One purchase was enough.

    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!

Depends on what your looking for really. I had the 9 when I bought my rig. It’s a nice unit. If you’re running Android for your phone etc, it plays well with it. My buddy has an android and it worked great. But if you’re running Apple it’s glitchy with car play.

I personally like the tuning features of the more expensive units. I pulled the 9 and replaced with the 6600nex. Love it so far and the CarPlay is flawless.

If you’re on a budget, get the dasaita, you’ll enjoy it. If you’ve got the extra $$ grab something better. I found a factory refurbished pioneer for $800. Came with warranty.

What app do you guys use to mirror screens? It sure how much I’ll use it but I wanted to have the option. I see easy connection but it says it’s not available for the px6.

I’m having trouble with the rear camera. Installed the PX6 with canbus, everything is connected minus the Tacoma’s GPS and mic.

I have full steering wheel functionality, TPMS works, fuel data etc. the only thing I don’t have is the rear camera, I get a caution symbol when I’m in reverse. I’ve added a picture of everything hooked up, and I have one connector coming off of the wiring harness that doesn’t have a place to connect to in the truck, and it just so happens to be connected to the rear camera RCA cables.

This unit has been plug and play for the most apart aside from this. Any ideas?

Ok - it was just the yellow RCA cables, I swapped them and I got my backup camera to work.

I'm having the same issue but I'm almost positive I'm missing a harness with the female camera ends. Do you have a T9 or T10? Curious if they come preloaded with apps.

Looking for this harness for my Px6. It's to hook up the rear camera. I seem to be missing mine. :(

Is anyone running this H/U using the GEMS forward facing camera module, where you use the "mode" button on the steering wheel to activate the forward facing camera?

Alright I’ve had this head unit for a while and I have some questions because I’m looking to increase the functionality of it.

Does this thing have a SIM card slot somewhere that I’m not seeing? I took the unit apart yesterday and didn’t see one. I’m trying to figure out if I need to order a SIM card adapter for it or not.

Also does anyone know where the blue AMP wire is? I found a grey wire called AMP DET but it doesn’t get 12volts when radio is on, and a quick Google search indicate that’s not what it’s for.

    Thanks guys.

Did you change the canbus settings? I think it was camry or rav4 to get it to work.

Someone early on was dabbling with it. I think most people just use the front-facing default but there was some trickery to get it to work if I recall. I still have mine somewhere but haven't bothered to try getting it to work.

Did you get factory TPMS and Fuel to work or use an aftermarket? I only was able to get aftermarket to work.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the 4G modem on there website is what is required for the SIM card, clicking that page brings me to a blank listing.

    Would any USB modem work?

not sure I was wondering the same. You can try Ali express, eBay. Amazon but I’m curious if they have a 5G one. Considered it or or get a hot spot but usually just use CarPlay 99% of the time

Yeah I usually use carplay too but I want more of the features it has to offer.

Do I need an antenna also for it to catch a signal do you know?

For which signal? For SIM no idea not sure many here have used the add-on. If anything folks would just tether or get a hotspot which they can take with them. Those have the antennas built-in and prob will run better anyway.

When I am stopped if needed I share my connection from my phone and use features. I was big on trying to do this but found I have barely use other parts. I did get a HDMI to rca conversion and currently have an OG NES mini in the glove box for kicks.

Oh that's neat. I'll investigate the hotspot, seemed cheaper to do a sim card install.

I'm primarily interested in getting a subwoofer/amp hooked up to this. I have gone a long way modifying my trucks sound system and want to give it that final push. The Dasaita is impressive to someone like me who isn't an audiophile with its capabilities. More so than I am use to with the stock headunit and my previous vehicles. The RCA jacks were easy enough to find, especially since they're labeled. But I need to find a 12volt amp wire. I'll probably just end up tapping into the 12 volt outlet.

I can look at my harness later. I recall it was a blue wire my experience they usually are blue for the remote turn on iead.
