I like that set up a lot. I guess it just mounts into the rail system on each side? Would you mind sharing where you purchased it? Thanks.

Has anyone had success with the nimble 9 side mounts under a hard topper? Specifically a LEER 180?

I thought I read for most hard shell toppers you'll have to notch out parts of the topper for these bike racks to fit.

That's what I was worried about, brand new topper so I'm not quite ready to take a dremel to it yet.

I have the same issue with my camera and my EVOC so I just keep the velcro closed and don't even bother opening up the tailgate/camera hole. I could rotate the pad down to make the camera hole work but then it wouldn't sit correctly on top of the tailgate with the protection pillows. I definitely do miss my backup camera when the pad is on though!!!

I actually took a slightly different approach.

I had a nylon spacer that I use so even though the lock bolt backs out, it can only back out so much. Here's a couple pics.

Pieced together some parts for a low pro above tonneau setup. Sit much lower than Billie Bars or KB Voodoo, and for about half the price

you should make a write up for this, i can’t be the only one interested. looking to get a similar setup; debating between this or a hitch mounted rack at the moment.

No problem. I used the KB Voodoo tonneau brackets and then everything else I pieced together from TNutz (Aluminum extrusion, hardware, end caps). Then fork mount and rear tire tray and I was done. Crossbars are the Black 15 Series (EX-1530). I found the 64in length for both bars worked perfectly for this setup. For hardware, I used the 15 series drop in tnuts (M6) and then just ended up buying the M6 bolts and washers from my local hardware store. I'm almost certain the bolts were M6 x 16mm. Shoot me a PM if you have any specific questions on anything.

All in without the fork mount and tire tray I was somewhere in the $260-$275 range, but this was a full year ago. KBV and Tnutz have both raised prices on everything since then.

I'm an avid biker and kayaker, 16 pages of thread just to assure me I'll always need a longbed. The popularity of the DCSB always floored me...

This is where the truck as a family vehicle argument comes into play. I bought an access cab because I don't have any friends.

longbed wouldnt fit in my garage. i gladly sacrificed that foot of bed space to be able to park in a garage. Bike and kayak are fine in the bed most times. I have an RCI roof rack if I want to take my kayak when I have the camper hooked up.

How does it work with the roll top tonneau closed? Is that a Bak Revolver X4s?

Yeah, it’s an x4s. That has been a bit of a pain in the ass itself but it seems better than other ones so I’m figuring it out. I’ll make a post at some point. It totally clears the rear wheels of my xl pivot so it’s a non issue with bikes on it. I just take the Yakima off to close the cover and chuck it in the bed. You couldn’t close the cover with it on.

I tried all the other ways and then I figured, all the bikes and miles I travel, just get what Ya need. Kuat, it is really handy because we can take the Wife's vehicle when we want.
