Asian fire truck. It's cute, but it's right-hand drive. It can be yours for 24K.

Manual trans, too. I can't even imagine trying to shift with my left hand.

What is this about a "frame inspection". Is there a TSB for it?

    re: fuel system service.
I use a can of Seafoam 1x per year. Cost: $15

Shifting left handed isn't that awkward, I had a Suzuki mini truck that was right hand steer and left hand shift.

I got a notice from Toyota last summer to bring it in for inspection. Frame rot was a real problem with Gen2s. I started a thread here somewhere asking what people's experience has been with Gen3s, which went pretty much nowhere. The window of opportunity lapsed. Got another notice a month or so ago. Figured I better do it just in case. Not too worried about it. I've been FluidFilming the underside every Fall since I've owned it.

The dealership has one guy that does nothing but replace frames. Apparently, even with all the labor involved, they can still turn a profit on a used Gen2.

I needed to get to work, so I didn't browse much while I was there. One observation... A lot of empty acreage still.

I cant seem to find the link but I recently had the 3rd light fix done on my truck and they recommended the fuel system flush. The entire kit they used could be bought online for about $30.00

Admittedly this wasn't today... but I finally got my iconic "I climbed Bald Mountain" shot. It's a beautiful trail & was a ton of fun to navigate (especially with all the snow melt!). My kiddos loved the swing on the fire tower.

This. Lived in Japan for for years and honestly, left hand shifting felt more natural. I miss my manual Nissan I had out there.

My parade of small mods continues, this one courtesy of the blueprint laid out by @ClassyTacos in his Youtube video. The kids will like having USB charging ports in the back now.

The only thing I did differently is that I didn't leave the plug inside the center console connected. I thought I had the connects to tap in but didn't, so since I've never used the plug inside the console, I just snipped the wires and spliced in the new plug. I'll probably go back and reconnect the factory plug at some point. Oh, and I also used a 1" bit instead of the 1 1/8th that Classy used just to get a tighter fit because when I measured the plug it was closer to 1". I had open it up just a shade more but it worked.

Question for the group, in the bottom pic below, does anyone know what that unused white plug is for?? I'm assuming it's some option by 2020 SR5 doesn't have it but I haven't been able to figure out what.

I did the same for the center console plug, never used it so just cut the wire and connected the rear one.

The tundra has 4 (two front, one center console, one rear) replaced all but the center console... don't think I'll ever change / use it either

In my center counsel, there is a USB port and some other port, can anyone tell me what the other port is for or what it is?

is there any kit that can be purchased to install USB ports in the outside back of the counsel?

Yes, but where can we get those socks? J/K :D

How's the surrounding area of Shaver Lake look? I haven't been in up there in over a decade and I heard the big creek fire wiped out quite a bit. Hwy 168 looks like a bunch of burnt toothpicks from what I can see in pictures online. I used to go every summer for a week or two. Fun fact, I'm related to J.C Walling who used to own Lakeshore Resort at Huntington Lake. :hattip:
