Had a lunar rock TRD Off Rd waiting for allocation at one dealer. Ordered it March 11th. No allocation to date. Spoke to salesman and suggested being open to other colors to get allocation sooner. Got a call from another dealer that had the tacoma I wanted in magnetic grey at msrp with a build date of 5/6. Pulled the trigger. Wanted the lunar rock but was ok with other colors. This one actually had more options that I'm ok with. Countdown starts!

We're both right...:argue::cheers:. One would think whoever puts this stuff in looks at it but for sure a double cab since the Tacos only come in double or access cab. My truck showed at the dealer with a stock # 2 days ago. Went by to take a look and salesman said Toyota puts them as "in stock" vs "in transit" on the dealer site 48hrs before arrival:confused:.

Going by to pick mine up on Saturday and can take a peek and verify status if you like. Though as I'm sure you've seen, some just leave them up for the calls and then (oh, that is sold but I have a ..)

Hey everyone. Helping out someone who is interested in a truck from a dealer in Arizona. He got a quote that listed an additional $1050 in license fees. This doesnt include sales tax and a $499 documentation fee which was already quoted separatley. Dealer said its the fee to register the vehicle. Is this something specific to Arizona or is it just some way for the dealer to make money? The truck will be registered in another state so could this be why the additional fees?

    None yet.....
For me, it came down to which trim was going to come available with what I wanted it to have first. There are things I like and don't like about each, but they are similar enough where I decided I could work with either one. For me, the rear locker wasn't a big deal. My last 4 trucks have had one, and I never used it in any of them, even off road. I'm soft core I guess. Anyway, the one that came available for me was a Sport, so I took it.

Anyone else not able to register their permanent VIN in the Toyota app? It keeps saying my VIN is not recognized.

I typed in my temporary pre build vin # it came back as a long bed. The dealers spec sheet says 5' bed. I don't care either way but a long bed would be a welcome surprise. Can you tell by the Vin what length bed?

BOOM!!! Changed to G this evening. Was at the dealer this morning putting a contract down so I don't get screwed on the rate come may 1st (thank you government) and was told should be here before Monday. The wait appears to be coming to an end. But I'm not holding my breath.

I could be wrong but I believe that’s the destination charge.

tax is always separate. When buying out of state there should be two options where they calculate tax based on your zip code then you register it in your state and pay if there’s a difference. The second option is you don’t pay any tax and pay in full in the state you’re registering.

So I work at a bank so I have a little inside football but the fed is raising its rate which almost always means the consumer rates increase as well. The banks still have to make money as well.
