Came into work and had an email asking if I was interested in a Field Tech job because my resume looked like it'd be a good fit. I looked it up. Six figures, overtime, working on tanks. Only problem, it's in Kuwait.

The real head scratcher is that the requirements said 11 years of turbine engine experience. Uh, tell me how you thought I'd be a good fit again?

The ol toyota 4.0L is a far stretch from a tank engine. I guess it's slow like one.

I know. Just my commentary. It does sound interesting to be able to do basically what I wanted to do when I was in the military to some degree. Also when I was in tech school I wanted to work on designing and building military vehicles. I actually applied at OSHKOSH Defense but never even got the time of day back.

I just want to get to a point nowadays where I can build a tube chassis ultra 400-style rig. Something that goes fast-ish, climbs rocks and I can jump it and not worry about breaking stuff since it will be a toy. The taco is my interim.

 

Just talked to her on the phone. She sounds much better. Sounds like the new meds are doing the trick.
