My question: How can I tell which springs and struts I have? Light, Medium, Heavy? I've been scouring the internet and suspension forum here--poorly it seems-- and cannot find how to identify the parts. I feel like I'm missing something glaringly obvious and accept any roasting as a result. TIA.

Use: I'll be driving passes around SW Colorado and some light crawling in SE Utah, as well as hauling regularly and towing occasionally. I want to know where I stand with this kit, so I know what lens to view performance through.

Background: I recently picked up my first Tacoma, a beautiful 2013 with low miles and one previous owner. Previous owner had the dealership install a OME lift with Nitrocharger Sports and a leaf pack. Trouble is, he doesn't have the paperwork for it and the dealership service dept doesn't have the record. I've reached out to ARB and they haven't responded.

Oh and I'm stoked to join the party here on Tacoma World! I've come here for years to help my brother with his 2nd Gen, finally broke the seal with my own.

Not sure if these pics help.

Not sure what series of shocks you have, but your truck stock is 20 inches center of hub to fender front and 22 inches for the rear.
The OME stuff works great, if you find it to stiff you could always get a lighter spring rate front coil.
Also your bump stops can make a big difference, stock ones are like hockey pucks - harsh. Wheelers super bumps are good.

Close to the u bolts on your rear axle there will be some other numbers painted on the leafs, see if you can get those numbers.

Thanks DavesTaco68, I just wiped them off a bit and see the numbers you are referencing: CS047R

If I’m not mistaken the CS047R are the older “heavy duty” OME Dakar leaf pack. They have since come out with a newer model/part number to replace those but it’s no big deal. Those should give 2.5-3” lift.

No idea what you have up front, can’t tell from the photos that are posted.

Thanks wi_taco. Found some details on the front strut, says N140s. Does the "s" stand for soft? Couldn't find anything on the front spring.

I'd like to get a winch mounted on the front for general recovery as well as moving some trees i've been felling for fuel reduction (will be doing much more clearing in the future). Thinking I'll mount the winch to a mini steel bumper. You think I need a beefier front suspension setup for the added weight?
