I don't know where this nut goes to. It was the only part left over. Hmmm?

Ah yes, the ''easy job'' from hell. Bop out, cup of joe in hand, already trying to figure out what to do with the next 10 hours of daylight.................and then the eyerolls and evil thoughts about what should happen to engineers and designers and wondering if liquid lava is juuuust cool enough for them to feel pain before they expire. The worst though, is realizing they made way more per hour then you do and you saw thru their idiocy in about 12 seconds. And the blood, and the barked knuckles, and the forgiveness to be asked for from all the neighbors in a 2 mile radius for your choice of colorful words.

I just check face book market place every day. I look at how many days it's been listed. If it's been up for more than a week, If I like the machine, I'll make an offer.

Also you don't have to be afraid of some road time.

I had to make 2 10 hr trips to Cincinnati. Those did question my sanity.

These are commercial units, so the wear items are designed to be replaced or repaired pretty quick.

I got real lucky on this last one. It was only 3 miles away.

I will admit, these would suck to work on if you did not have a lift. The deck alone weighs 430 lbs!

I still can't figure out why people walk away from these machines.

I'm okay with it. I make some easy cash.

The biggest expense is an engine. Replace that and the machine will outlast your lifetime.

Yep, about an hour ago. Im asking $3.5, he offered $3k.

Then he said he needed to talk to the Mrs. I've found this is quite often a deal killer.

He did sound a bit slow or special needs. I'm not judging, but he may need help when making financial decisions. I'm completely happy with this sale so far. It's only been to the road for 30 hours.

The one with the bagger, Im not moving on the price. I hope it never sells. It was awesome last fall dealing with the leaves!

I sold one last week, so it's not like I'm starving.

How much you want for the one with the bagger? I gave $4,000 for the hustler with the bagger, he was asking $4,500. It was a friend of mine.

I have it listed at $5300. I sold one exactly like it last year for $5500.

The never leave your seat dump feature is really nice.

Toro doesn't make this bagger system anymore. I'm pretty sure people were turned off by how much space the unit takes up for storage or transporting.

All I know is it works great!

    Thanks!

Everytime I see your screen name I grin. Wife and I were bid Reno 911 fans. Got all the DVDs.

Think as it as art. Can't put a price on it, so it's art.

I just like to take shit apart and put it back together as close to original as possible.

Lawn equipment fits the bill. After the 1st mowing, no one is going to see the imperfections in the paint that I applied. It's just a good running lawn mower.

Normally I would follow this line of thinking myself, but on the monstrosity I posted, I am trying to make a piece of equipment do something they way I want to suit my needs (just defending myself haha).

    Sometimes it works.

Different aspect of reselling stuff too. At work when I am getting paid to do something, I do things as right as possible for a list of reasons.

I would never hoist my garbage on others.

First mow of the season today. I used the little 1999 JD LT 133, 13hp Command powered, nice runner now that it has a new coil. This was a project I got from the B-I-L that a tree fell on. The hood is much older, 1970's.

It is a gear drive not a hydro so S..L..O..W.. Fortunately I only use it at one in town property. Good thing it is flat there, I re-discovered that the brakes don't work at all.

The deck is a 42" mulcher and uses a timing belt so the blades don't hit, cuts very nicely as long as the grass isn't too long. Felt good to be outside in the sun. :)

I bet that was great. Still a week, week and half before we can smell fresh cut lawns around here.

I was tempted to just run up and down the lawn to just leave some lines.

A man told me when I was a teenager “show me someone who doesn’t mess something up and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t do anything”. I mess stuff up all the time, or fail and start over. We all do :fistbump:

Great saying and my motto as well. I see a lot of pics of shiny tractors on the tractor forum with no scratches in the paint or in on the loader buckets. Some post regularly and the buckets have been this way for years. The pics are always of EMPTY buckets but never full of anything. The tractor is some kind of trophy garage queen. Really bizarre to me. I use my stuff hard and fix it when I break it.
