    Thoughts on this:

Take a piece of 1" round stock, cut a piece 1.25" long, cut a slot across 1 end for the prop drive pin, then drill and tap both ends for left hand threads. The adapter would thread onto the weed eater gear box, and then bolt the prop on. Something like this:

This is horrible. I’m so sorry for you both.

One thing my wife and I learned about dealing with our parents medical issues is to always have someone there when things are being figured out. Especially when pain or other cognitive issues are present resulting in impaired ability to provide informed consent.

Yeah, they might not want us to be there but the need to provide advocacy and support outweighs that.

Good call going in. I hope they figure it out fast and that she turns the corner soon.

    Wishing the best for all.

    Good morning everyone.

Lol my job is not sexy. I work with engineers at medium to large OEM's who make off highway mobile equipment. Think horizontal drills, cranes, skidders, etc. I work with them to develop their open and closed loop hydraulic systems. Open loop runs all of their functions like boom, swing tilt, etc. Closed loop utilizes a hydrostatic transmission that only runs one function per transmission, like propel. In order to size the unit, we need to know how fast the machine will travel, the grades they will transverse, the loads they will carry, any gearbox ratios, corner horsepower and a bunch of other stuff.

At home, I leave all of that behind and enjoy creating things out of wood. I can do cabinets and such but I have a lot of fun creating unique stuff.
Oh, and I really like to garden.
    Here are a few pics...
wood burning before sanding and painting... I use a torch and then sand to get the proper shading...

Here is the other end finished.

A side table...( this is my new home in South Carolina and my dog Bailey. She is 12 in this pic)

And here is my garden last year.

And lastly, just an example of the machines I make move...

And when I think S.C. I think sandy land, your garden looks red and clumpy, like our soil. You must be northeast part of the state?

Got all these parts done and the boss was going to take them to the chrome platers, their guy retired so they shut their chrome line down :annoyed:

Good morning Gents. :hattip:Hope you all have a great Friday.

@Slashaar hope your wife is doing better.

Having spent time in Kuwait, it’s not too bad there. How long of a contract for the gig?

Kuwait is definitely not a shit hole... that part of the world is a LOT different than here, and depending on how long the term is, if you've never been there, I'd say go for it. A LOT of really cool stuff to see in that region.

I guess Stock is like me, when I think of that part of the world you don't have nice thoughts and think you wouldn't be welcomed there.

    It's steak and cake day!

    Or meat and treat day.

I couldn't come up with a word that rhymes with those for the tattoo tonight, though.

    Have a great Friday!
