the OEM sound isn't horrible, but I know I will want more, I have yet to listen to some of my favorite tunes. I picked up a electric cooler, solar panel and Battery pack. My thinking is when traveling, I can keep it plug in and not worry about stuff getting warm. When camping in a spot for more than a night, set up the solar panel and no Ice needed. And less trips to the store.

Good luck. It's going to come down to your budget, and what you can find in stock. Hard to find suspension parts in stock.

Oh, I mean, it’s not that I think it isn’t a good idea - it’s just one of those “Is that worth net 500$ right now”.

Granted, I could recoup a lot of those costs and sell it off. But it adds complexity to the truck where it might not be needed, it’s still a cost to have, etc.

I would also have to see if it can be stuffed under my sleeping platform and easily acccessible from the side when it is.

I don’t think it’s within the cards THIS year, but I am going to be sitting there thinking about it while I’m out and seeing if I think it’s worth it!

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
You don't plan to do a subwoofer correct? What are all the factory speaker sizes?

No sub, I’d rather not have to run wires. Not exactly sure sure the size, I have been using crutchfield and just looking at 2022 4Runner ORP, with Nav no JBL. 6x9 seem to be front, others seem to be smaller. I’ll keep looking.

    edit: ok, I think fronts 6x9, rears 6.5, cargo door 6.5, dash 2 3/4

Anyone know how to mute this damn thing?

I know some it's the second button down on the right. Didn't work on this one. Use this station a lot and it annoys the piss out of me every time.

Some stations are on to us and their things don’t mute.

I missed the start of this. That's a nice Victory model. Chambered in .38 Spcl or something else?

Yesterday I was getting back into my truck when I noticed a very small yellow square sticker on the driver's door jam. I'd never noticed it before, so leaned over to read it. It was a notice that an add on item had reduced the load carrying capacity of the truck... by 10 pounds. The only thing I can think of that I didn't add was the factory Tonneau Cover. It's an 2019 SR5 Double Cab Short Bed that I've added side steps, a bed mat, and various electronics to.

I thought it was a bit odd, but my guess is that some lawyer somewhere told someone at the dealership that they needed to CYA for the add on.

Yup. Tonneau weighs 10 lbs, so your capacity is reduced by it. Seen a lot of those. I don't even know if I have one to be honest.

.38 special. I need to take off the grips and see if they are original. Got some contradicting info there. But in research it was shipped between 1942 and January 1943. The navy marking in it makes it "rarer" and I'll need a lanyard pin and ring for the bottom.

Have you considered getting a letter from S&W to authenticate it?

Supposedly they don't do that anymore according to things I've read on Smith ND Wesson forum.

I will certainly be looking for lanyard loop. If the grips aren't matching I'm sure I'll never find the actual matching set and would just leave it

I hate shit like that. Great reason to add things separately from the dealership. To me, a tonneau is not a permanently mounted item so it should not reduce the GVWR. You could make a good argument that side steps aren't permanent either, in my opinion...

This one doesn't have the stopper things.

This is the stop and shop gas station. When I have fuel discounts I go here's and sometimes it's the best price anyway. But 75% of the stations here don't have the clicky thing. Shenanigans.

If you're just looking to improve the ride, good shocks will make a big difference for well under $4k. You also don't mess with any of your stock geometry (if that's a concern). Different application, but I dropped a set of Fox 2.0's on my current truck (not a Tacoma) and absolutely love them.

Just be like everyone else I see at stations like that and put your gas cap in the handle (personally, not a fan of that method, but it seems to be pretty commonplace).
