Anyone else get color envy?

I've had women come up and tell me (well, my wife) how pretty my blue truck is.

 

Very happy with my Barcelona red. I enjoy the rare Voodoo blue sighting but I already have a Porsche in a similar color (Riviera Blue). I think the Riviera blue is just a little nicer and if I had them both the two would fight In my garage when I am not there to keep things peaceful.

I always liked BR ever since I rented. T4R in that color. I liked Cement a lot too and if I didn’t want a chromatic that would be my choice. I think they should still make Cement it’s that good- really the perfect neutral for the Tacoma especially with black trim.

I had color envy for years. I always tried to “play it safe” with black, silver, gray, and white. I had those neutral colors from 1997 to 2018! I let so many people get into my head about resale value and what other people will think.

Now I realize life is short so why not get what you want?

last night I had dinner with my Aunt and to my surprise when the valet pulled up her car it was a RED Lexus (pretty hard to find). I complimented her on her color choice and we agreed life is short get what you want.

 

The only color i'd swap with is Army Green but i love a clean black taco (although i'd never want to take care of that color personally)

 

Was suppose to get a White truck, wanted Inferno, then ended up with Quicksand. No regrets.

Army Green and Cement are very nice colors though, would be my 2nd and 3rd choice.

 

have the sky metallic silver. would rather have cement or the green. so the envy is real.

 

bought a certified 2016 a few years ago in Quicksand, I get a bit of buyers remorse when I see a clean Cement or Calvary Blue, but not enough to consider getting rid of mine.

 

I always loved the color on my 2008 Speed way blue. When I was looking at the new 2021 the voodoo blue was the closest but it was too much of a sky blue for me so I chose the B Red instead. I still not crazy about the color but got to live with it and it growing on me slowly.

 

Had a Thunder Grey Tundra for 21 years and wanted to mix things up. BR is a perfect look with the Tacoma Access Cab. With the black aluminum running boards, it looks great. I see to many black, white, and grey Tacos and my friends say I am a red ass anyway.

 

One of these days when I have a spare couple grand, I'll have my incognito gray wrapped to a satin red.

It's cheaper than trading.

 

You are showing your age now I bet 60% of the people on here have not heard of his fine paint jobs !!!

 

Lunar Rock wasn't an option yet when I got mine, but after seeing it in person I like it a lot. Cement and Quicksand both appealed to me a lot too after seeing them in the wild.
But something about those colors makes me question if I'd still like them in 10, 15, 20 years of ownership. MGM is a color I know I can live with long term... as long as I don't think about missing out on AG.

More like this. If the dealer hadn't put a 9k markup on the wrap alone, I would have been driving this instead of the Tacoma.

Same. Got the OR LR, that was my top choice.

I do like Cavalry Blue, Army Green, Cement and Quicksand.

 

I have one of the most common colors, MGM but it looks great dirty or clean and I love it. I like all the muted colors but the only color I'm actually envious of is army green.

My previous 2nd gen was MGM. I really liked the grey "gunmetal" look. But went they announced the AG I couldn't go back.
