Know someone with 10+ acres?

Figured I'd post here because why not?

I'm in the NEK looking for a chunk of land. MLS is mostly flooded with overpriced trash and people dreaming of helicopter millionaires who will buy it sight unseen. (Landlocked with no ROW, $10,000/acre and was clearcut recently, seller reserves bigass ROW for year round recreational traffic, lot is shaped like a gerrymandered voting district, half finished uninhabitable "remodel", part-done dream home that seller thinks is worth $350k).

If you know someone with 10+ acres that might be interested in a private sale, I'm all ears.

In my own dream world there's electric at the street or at least adjacent, plenty of trees, and no ridiculous riders on the sale.

The northeast is a pretty big region. You might receive a better quality and quantity of responses if you set some parameters regarding where you were looking. I doubt you want 10 acres in Fort Kent Maine.

 

The NEK ("Northeast Kingdom") is a part of Vermont.

Maybe a little unconventional but you could use the online parcel viewer to scope out some acreage you like and then get in contact with the owner to see what they think about a sale.

I have nothing constructive to add other than I fucked up when I passed on a 25 acre parcel in Stratton bordering Nat forest ground.
That was 30 years ago and I thought 1k per acre was too high.
Where do i attach the "Kick Me" sign?
