Does anyone know if rear legroom was increased for the 3rd gen access cabs. Looking at a 17’ AC 4x4 5 speed (I know I better get it while I can) and hoping the rear is a little bit larger than my 13’ 5 lug. I know it’s not much regardless. Just wondering if there is a spec sheet on it. Thanks

    Oh look, another mod....

According to this, the 2nd gen access cab is slightly bigger than the 3rd gen.

Thanks I figured it hasn’t changed. 1st to 2nd gen was a bigger change in interior room

4 banger 5 speed Access Cab? If it is clean grab it!

RE: Legroom -- only for small children, people with masochistic tendencies and people you really don't want to give a ride to.

    I know it’s a rare configuration only 38k miles - but asking $31k!

If you generally don't transport adults in the the back, get the Access Cab. First Mod should be build a platform (even if you don't have a dog). My dog loves to ride on the platform, but I leave it in all the time for hauling groceries, tool boxes etc. See post #1 on this thread.

As for the price, every new and used Tacoma is priced crazy high.

Both the 2nd & 3rd gen share the same double cab so I'm sure they both share the same access cab.

I transport kids occasionally I’m the back of my 13’ access cab and it works for short stints around town. Upgrade would be for 4wd and manual trans. Larger bed is much more useful

I have a 2nd and 3rd gen access cab. They feel the same to me in terms of leg room. It’s better than I’d expect looking from the outside, especially with the passenger seat moved forward. The issues we have are the upright sitting position and short seat. Not the legroom. 30 min or more and you’ll want out.
