I remember being like 12 years old doing roof stuff with my dad. Now I don't think I could get on a roof for any reason.

Last time I was on a roof, we were putting up tin for my dad's lake house. I'm on the opposite side and he slides the sheet up to me to hold while he puts screw in. I'm holding on for dear life with my fingers while he's on the ladder. Then he goes "oh I forgot the drill, be back in a minute." I thought my fingers were gonna fall off.

Yeah me too. My brother and I hauled shingles for dad.

Now? Roofing labor cost is relatively low.

    Hmmmm.......there are some weaknesses.

Mass. Bugs love the stuff. Not UV or light resistant.

It gets back filled so UV degradation isn't an issue. I've remodeled more then a few houses with termite and carpenter ant damage. Never seen any penetrations in the foam sealants in those builds. If they truly sheared a post before this stuff failed I doubt it's mass will have much down side. If anything it's lack of weight makes me want to use it. Think about hand mixing 3 bags of concrete then dumping it in the hole. Then think about mixing 3 bags of this stuff and dumping it in the hole. One is way easier. I've always been a work smarter not harder guy but age has really made me look for smarter, easier ways. lol

    It does look really slick.

But there are bugs that eat the stuff.

If backfilled then yeah UV not a problem.

I was going to try and find the testing results they did on it later. I don't do many posts that are non structural. This product looks great for guys in the fence/landscape field but it will never replace concrete for piers and foundations so I probably won't ever use it. lol

In big winds in soft soil the mass does play a roll.

I'm thinking about it for steel posts. Post Master posts.

Doing some reading, I don't think bugs EAT and digest the foam. Some will burrow through the low density open cell foam. Not the upper end super dense stuff,

Well I got the closet framed in

Does anybody know if you’re supposed to put noggings in between all studs? I just put them in the bigger wall between the 16” on center studs.

    Just getting started.
We just got a new dog and I needed to close up the alley between our house and our neighbor's retaining wall. My wife loved how the scribed board turned out.
