Latter, not the former.. I told some dip shit Tesla owner one day after he questioned me why I took his pizza box and plastic bags with recyclables out of his recycle bin and put it in his trash. I told him it wasn’t recycle. It’s disqualified because of the grease. Neither is the crust. Neither is all the carefully culled and washed plastics , tin , aluminum , and whatever, because anything in plastic bags is also disqualified . All of which is processed as trash. I sometimes drive a split body trash/ recycle truck. So I pick up both and he happened to observe. I showed him the sticker on his bin and it Cleary says no plastic bags. The amount of “recycle “ that gets processed as trash is astounding due to this. Wasting water to wash and money on plastic bags. Just sayin.
