KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

Figure I will use this opportunity for some feedback and a few questions. I purchased the KDmax tune and flashed it myself a month or two ago. I was one of the OG's with OVTune and provided data logs for Matt when he was first developing the M/T tunes.
I have run about every tune Matt produced for the M/T's as well as a few that other members created after VFtune was introduced. KDmax has been the best overall out off all of them IMHO.

In fact it is so good that I got my first speeding ticket in over twenty years. I was just cruising along enjoying how well my truck was running and I didn't realize I was speeding..lol. On the OVTunes I could hit about 60 in second gear, KDmax pushes that past 70 if I take it to redline. Speaking of which,it seems that that has dropped about 1k from the 7k redline that Matt had obtained with his tunes. No complaints just an observation.

Now a question for @PappaRee,when I purchased my tune you sent me the files,were those the tune base files for my ecu or can I now get files that match my mods for tire size agm ect. ?

As for the guy asking about the accumulator delete mod,I have done it and I don't think it affects rev hang much if at all. It just improves the clutch feel and engagement to act like a "normal clutch" that most are used to.

 

No Problem. I can send you files for AGM or gears if you need them. Tire size does not matter on Manual Trucks in Vftuner.
Just use the PM that you have with me.

 

Does anyone know if the VFTune update server is down AGAIN today? Trying to flash the new files Pappa sent me and can't seem to connect.

 

The v1.6 now on the VFTuner.com page is REQUIRED for your efforts....please try that and report back. They indicated prior version are no longer usable.

 

Trying that now. That is and has alwaya been my biggest complaint about Matt and OVTune. The constant changes and updates are worse than microsoft.

Update worked,truck is flashed and idling,going to run some errands for the test drive.

 

Anyone with Tactrix cable(non-OVT supplied) able to run the app after the update?
Per notes, legacy users (software only)should be able to register Tactrix cable.

I had to use my older OV supplied tactrix plug. My newer one I bought from Tactrix would not register.

 

There's two of us Pro tuners I'm aware of that cannot run the software with our Tactrix. He said to email our serial#s but that was almost 2 hours ago and... nothing.

 

I am running Windows 10 no issue with the download. Try a fresh new download with your registered cable. If you haven't yet.

 

He does already have an internal database of all the serials of the adapters he has sold. I’m assuming that you’re already registered with the original one you bought because I literally started a fresh install of vf, with my orange tactrix plugged in, and have had zero issues at all.

 

My bad i thought you had a registered cable. Hopefully you can get it squared away quickly.

So the cable that you just received from him will not work?
That doesn't seem right. If you bought the software and cable from Vftuner, it should be ready to go.
Let us know what happens and what you have to do to get it working.

Does anyone see any Tacoma 2.7L files in Vftuner? I only see the 2 that were there before, nothing new.

 

Don't forget to do the driver install for the tactrix cable. It will ask you that too with "yes or no", click yes to install the cable driver. That may be it.

 

Any of you guys get this error? I just updated off the website because the program would never find a update itself.

 

Just downloaded 1.6 no problems at all.

 

It looks like there’s quite a few people with this problem. I reverted back to 1.5.7 until they get it figured out

 

@PapaRee, each time I start 1.6, it does a license check and a loading data splash screen, total of 90 seconds until it opens. Normal, as advertised? Thought you might know. No use asking on the vftuner site, Mat already said he won't be answering.

 

I think so. As long as it opens and works. Should be good. Mine took about a minute.

 

I did not delete the last version before I installed the latest. When it asked to download drivers I hooked up my cable flash tool and clicked NO. Everything transferred over then I deleted the earlier version.
