I’ve said something similar before as well. The guy who is going to cause me trouble driving down the road is typically way less scary than the guy that is willing to use my plate info online to track me down from 5 states away because he doesn’t agree with something I said or a mod done to my truck.

Last night, finished the weather stripping between my Billie Bars and tonneau cover, then installed the oem bed lights. Could not justify the $450 on a real bedrug so I bought a $20 indoor/outdoor carpet at home depot cut it to size, screwed it down and BOOM.

Then put on a Thule OverCast awning as well as a 1up USA Equip-d single bike rack, and today went to test everything out. IMG_1810.jpg

Your 3rd brake light is blocked now. Do you have plans to compensate for it?

Stoked on the new setup. Trying to track down a reasonable hard shell RTT and hit the road!

I like the Armadillo. Gives the truck a very different look. Doesn’t look like they are specific to the taco on the website. It doesn't even look like it’s bolted down lol how did you mount it?

To hell with the third brake light. The whole rear window is blocked. Looks cool, but not a mod I could do. I require visibility.

It’s bolted on there. 3 bolts per side. The bolts we used to secure it to the bed are black.

I just mounted everything today to see how it looks. I plan on taking the tire off unless I’m off-roading. My Taco also isn’t my DD. So it’ll be sitting in the garage most of the time.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah my first thought went to how often I'm checking behind me while I'm running down the interstate (about 15 hours a week), and I spent most of the day today running around with a trailer that I had to back into and down a driveway. Can't imagine doing that with side mirrors alone. I just figured that everybody's driving style is different though. If the spare is only mounted for off road trips then it's no big deal. And it looks cool.

I wonder if this interferes with the TSS. I want one.

Not the OP, but lots and lots of people have done decals, wraps and films over the sensor without any issues. I did something similar myself. No idiot lights and the truck tells me to brake for no reason just as often as without the film (usually because somebody is turning off the road and the truck doesn't understand that I know wtf I'm doing).
