And, the proper and equally insincere response is always..."And we're glad you're here."

So, first off... Happy Birthday, @Devious6 Mark!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Got to get back at the little project, because I have anniversary dinner tomorrow night, and possible jury duty on Monday. And, the wife has the car for a Doctor appointment. Better speed it up a little! Working back to front to hide my learning curve; I'm not an upholstery shop, but I have the right knife.

@95SLE Tom, those doors have been sealed up since the first and second stereo revival! Inside up to the crash bar, and outside!

@RustyGreen , My paper route had the richest folks in town. They stayed that way by avoiding collections due for the paper, and not tipping kids.

Morning Rob, that big old Impala is quietly resting in the garage, washed it and put new plugs in it bout a week ago, should adjust the solid lifters, change oil, and check the trans. fluid, then take it out for a springtime jaunt! :burnrubber:

:jellydance: Not much is more American than a ride in a Chevrolet from that era.

I remember my first "shotgun" ride with my FIL in his '63 Impala a few years after Kristi and I were married. I thought, "wow, he really does like me."
It was a wonderful experience and that "Big Ole Impala" was the vessel that carried it.

The stereo install guy finished. Now, on to the reason I started this!

I'll tighten down that cap after the seat. It's a delicate fit.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Thanks for the birthday love yesterday. It was an awesome day culminating in a dinner of antipasto salad and pizza followed with a shared piece of carrot cake with Lynn. Perfect.

Today is my son, Mark Jr's birthday. I'm pretty sure there aren't too many fathers who get to award their own son their college degree - one of the highlights of my time at Lackawanna.

Hot air balloon flight scheduled for this morning and it looks like the weather will cooperate. Then, I'm going to cut some brush and mow the lawns.

    And to you, as well!!!

I was talking to one of the guys who hunts turkey on our property on Friday - 1st day of the season was yesterday. He told me he spotted a black bear on our property and asked if I'd seen it before. I told him to look down at the muddy paw prints the bear left when he walked across the front porch. :D

By the way, the guy got a turkey first thing yesterday morning.

Do you have the one or two lifters that always need adjusting after a hundred miles or so?

Today is Sunday. Finish up on laundry then off to an early dinner with live music.

    Morning all:

Never really noticed them loosening up after that short a period, unless I was redlining it a lot . I have seen where it's only one or two when the rocker nut or stud is causing it to do that, usually just a new nut cured that, normally it's quite a bit more than one or two on average.

Happy birthday to your son Mark, may he have many more!!!!!
Congrats to the guy that got the turkey, I was mowing grass yesterday! :(

Just thinking, I never got to wear the cap and gown, more like the dunce hat!
Guess I can't complain, life has been good----so far!!!!!!

Good Morning Folks :hattip:. Looks like a beautiful say on tap for today. Had a birthday party to attend yesterday...the young lady was 100. Born in 1922. Still healthy but has lost her hearing but can still drink a glass of wine everyday . Good day for her as friends and family all showed up to give her well wishes for many more.

Congratulations to your son on his graduation and birthday Mark. It must have been a great moment for you to present him with his Degree and I'm sure Lynn was really proud of him as well as you for the event. Hope you have a good day crewing the balloon.
