Yes this site is awesome. 200K and sounds like not any other real major issues with your Tacoma. Also, these truck are relatively easy to work on too. However, I don't have a place to do repairs so I'm reliant on my dealership and a trusted mechanic. As a guy I'm impressed with your fortitude as a female to do them repairs yourself. Kudos! At only 20K's my Taco seems like a princess compared to yours! Lol.

I see you corrected the issue already, good stuff. I'm going to link a video I did on my ADD repair for anyone looking in the future. And yes that 4th bolt is a bit of a pain.

Hey! I watched your video before and during the replacement and it was one of the most helpful so thanks! It was hard to find a 3rd gen video vs a ton of 2nd
    Gens.
For some reason my new fork was positioned so that the fork was all the way to the right or closest to the breather hose. I very frustratingly tried to reinstall it and couldn’t get it into place 3 times not realizing it was in the wrong position, Having to clean off the gasket maker and reapply it in between attempts.
I finally looked at my old one and saw that the fork was on the opposite side. This made nervous that there was a bigger issue until I rewatched your video where you had yours on the bench trying to get the screws out and saw that yours was also all the way to the left. I opened the assembly and spun the wheels so the fork moved to the other side and it went into place easily  I also tried using a
Swivel head on those hard to reach nuts and it didn’t work for me.
As an FYI, I got an AISIN replacement which I’m told is owned by Toyota and is considered a OEM part. The instructions tell you to partially removed the axle for access! They were very good and detailed directions but I wasn’t ready to do that.
Thanks again for your video! I think I’ve already liked it and subscribed.

I also need a forum now for vintage fiberglass boat and mercury motor restoration because I bought this 2 days ago….. for $500  motor needs some work but I’ll do my best! It’s a 115 hp mercury tower of power. Not sure what I’ve gotten myself into..

I found these: to reach those top bolts on the ADD.
Select your socket, add one of the socket caps and turn with a box end ratchet. Depending upon the length of your socket you may have to add some length with an adapter such as these: Reached mine without much of a problem. Had to use the equivalent of both products shown above.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but I am replacing my ADD actuator and have a small question. My breather tube disconnected and it had a puddle of standing water inside. @miss_fortune13 (or anyone else that has used one) I was wondering how the Aisin replacement part has been holding up. I'm debating between trying to clean my current one and resolder the connections, replacing it with Aisin, or buying an OEM part from Japan off eBay- which is cheaper than at the stealerships here... That is if you trust eBay.
