Ha that’s funny. I haven’t tried any yet at this point just hoping to get out and shoot again. I hate being beholden to people to let me come and shoot I’d love to have a piece of property big enough

Mostly doesn't feed load new mag, release bolt round won't feed have to re charge to chamber round. Then 2nd round doesn't want to fully chamber but again only with the 175 FGMM

Check with a comparator to see what cartridge base to ogive is between the different rounds. If the barrel leade is steep or short, sometimes the heavier longer bullets jam. I have some 308 AR barrels that are very tight. A gauge (like sheridan) will tell you if there's a close headspace issue. A couple of mine won't chamber anything above minimum. If you reload, you can seat the 175s a few thou shorter, or run the loaded rounds through a SB die with expander removed.

So I think the upper is going back to aero. I certainly don't think i should have to pay a smith to fix.

This doesn't seem normal to me.
Fed cartridge right un fed cartridge left. Noticeable marks on both the projo and casing.

That's odd. If the leade is short, the rifiling grooves leave vertical lines, not horizontal.

It looks like just a tight chamber with a short (within Saami) throat. The ogive is jamming. Keep shooting it and it will probably free up eventually.

You can re-ream, and or lap the chamber as well

I still only have 40 rounds through this one so I’m gonna try some more 308 and 7.62 and see what happens. I’d like to be able to shoot both.

Oh mine shot like a champ with some cheap 308. Switched to 7.62x51 and had nothing but issues. I’d heard thes things could be finicky but it’ll all work out.

The “plan” as to get it zeroed with some power shocks as a primary ammo and then play with the 7.62. I’m going to try. Box of 308 fusion and if that solves my feed issues I’ll stick with 308 but I’ve got a couple hundred rounds of 7.62 I can try again later. My 308 bolt gun I hunt with loves the power shocks so a common ammo would be very nice

A friend had some 7.62x51 for his bolt gun and it would hang a little. But it was always shooting high with the fmj surplus ammo

I’m gonna see what happens if the 308 works I’m gonna try and buy as much power shock as I can find. I haven’t seen a box of it in a store around here in almost 3 years. When Accademy get s it back in stock I’m gonna order a good bit

Does a number on deer. I’m going to have to look for a 10 round mag with a 5 round blocker in it so we can hunt with it.
