Finally painted the chrome bumper. Scuffed it up for hours first. What a PITA. We’ll see how well it holds up

Driver side window went up and down, but didn't sound right, and hit "hard" on the up-stop (THUNK). Had an appointment tomorrow at the local glass shop for troubleshooting, but wanted to take a look first. Well - what do we have here? A missing bolt. Found it at the bottom of the door with a telescopic magnetic. All is good now. What a great feeling. Plus saved the $100 minimum charge at the glass shop.

Went crazy with Plastidip, I coated all the badges and my grille. I used some gorilla double sided tape to secure the badges and it took forever to cut the stuff to the shape of the badges. This is the reason it’s light in the picture with everything laid out and dark when everything is back on the truck. My badges are also bent from being removed and put back on so many times so I might have to invest in new badges. The grille looks good from far away but up close its a nightmare because part of the plastidip peeled away when I took off my masking tape so I might take it off and redo it another time but for now I’m happy.

Did a little paint swapping while mall crawling at the Beer40... I trusted my backup camera a little too much and tapped a light pole with my rear bumper...

I love my Hitchgate Solo. When the Switch came out I was pissed because I thought I wanted the pitched tire mount, but the Solo allows me to open my RSI rear window without swinging out the spare. It also clears the tailgate when swung out to 90 degrees. It’s solid and doesn’t flop around when playing in wonkie terrain due to its torqued down pivot bolt. The right shackle attachment point had to go since this fits very close to the bumper. I have a Mobtown Offroad bumper with the hidden/recessed hitch like yours. Works perfectly.

I’ve also pulled a teardrop camper in that secondary 2” receiver. No problems. I had to have a 13” drop hitch though since it has now gone up four inches from stock and a 2.5” lift. The Frontrunner drop down table has also been extremely handy when truck camping.

Always look for WILCO’s discounted stuff. I got my swing out discounted but $200 as a scratch & debt sale item. Never found the scratch or dent.
