Overland Tailor Tuning (OTT) is looking to add new tuners to our network in areas that do not already have coverage.

We're seeking individuals who are experienced and familiar with VFTuner and/or HPTuners software suites to join our network of professionals seeking to offer their clients quality tuning solutions. Our vehicle coverage and support is currently unrivaled in the Toyota market giving our tuners maximum potential within their respective area.

    The OTT advantage:
    • We provide proven quality calibrations for our supported platforms that deliver a refined driving experience.
    • You can count on OTT to provide our network with repeatable dyno figures that you and your clients can reproduce.
    • Remote or in-person training in CUW updates/Bricking/un-bricking ECU’s in a controlled test environment giving you the tools to tackle challenges in the field.
    • We do NOT require our tuners to flash OTT exclusively, giving your clients the freedom to choose what's best for their needs.
Look at the OTT Pro Tuner Map to see areas already covered:

Are tuners in the OTT network all charging the same amount? Tuner closest to me is quoting $600.

The 3G costs are about $450-500

Sometimes people get mistaken by pricing because the 2G Taco/Tundra/4R/FJ all use other software which is more expensive (HPTuners)… and some of those prices are $600-750. Superchargers $1000+

We charge all our 3rd party tuners a flat fee for each type of calibration.

The tuner has their expenses such as credits costs and their time. We set a MTP (minimum tune price) but the 3rd party tuner sets the retail price and that varies by location.

    Hope that helps.

I enjoyed the experience of flashing a tune and TSB to my taco so much that I could definitely see myself doing this for a living if it weren't for the lack of garage, experience, an LLC, and insurance to do so haha. Seems the Georgia area already has coverage anyways. Good luck finding tuners though!

Thanks to both of you. I am going to contact my local tuner again to see if they mistook my 3rd Gen for a 2nd Gen. $600 is on the high end but want to get the tune.

For those that purchased VFTuner and loaded the tune yourself, I’m curious what was your justification for doing it that way, rather than seeking a tuner to do it for you? It is a fair bit more expensive to do it that way. Do you plan to use VFTuner for other things, or be able to do other tunes yourself?

I’m on the fence, looking for other’s reasoning.

Mine was 1. To do it myself 2. So I can try different tunes 3. Not have to rely on someone else to change tunes 4. Return to stock at anytime just in case

We currently do not have a tuner in Georgia.. I cover that area, so that's why it shows a tuner for Georgia.

    Just FYI~

I went the route of tuning myself back at the very beginning. I have since loaded over 10 different tunes to get to OTT. At the time self tuning was really the only option. Now that OTT has the tune dialed in you could get away from self tuning and just get one tune by a tuner. If OTT comes out with any improvement I can apply as soon as he releases the tune. You would have to go back to tuner to get updates. If the tuner is close or far away to you that would be a consideration.
I am sure OTT will update the tune at some point but it is perfect as it is right now. I would wait until ovtune comes out with 1.6 and see if the pricing changes. Then base the cost per what a tuner charges.

It's really not that more expensive, if you want to compare DIY tuning kits from COBB or other known motorsport companies, expect to pay $1000-2000 for hardware and software, not to mention $$$ for stage 1/2/3 upgrades etc. If you're buying the VFTuner plus software, you're still at $700? Which is very affordable in the tuning world.

Compare that to HPTuners where it's $400 for the hardware/software plus $200 for credits. You're already at $600 to tune your own vehicle with no files or settings.

I just got home today from my trip and I was totally impressed with Ott 7.0 tune I was going up white pass on the cascades with no issues what so ever. This tune definitely gives the Tacoma every bit of confidence its always needed . Even with my big tires and stock gears and the weight of all our gear it was going up mountain passes with a breeze . I too have been tune hunting for the past 2 yrs trying them all or just about all of them and I finally found my unicorn . Thank you OTT you made this tune meet and exceeded my needs in my Tacoma . My recent trip was my final test for your tune . OTT you pass with flying colors . If I could shake your hand I would . Very well done . I feel as words can't thank you enough .

I have to agree with shotgunbilly420. After trying various tunes and finally OTT 7.0 for over 600 miles the thing that comes to mind is I don't think about it any more. No thoughts of "I wish it did this or that" or "It would be perfect if it didn't do blah blah". I just drive it.

Thanks Brother.. Glad that you were able to give it proper testing and reporting back with us along the way.

Justin and I have put a bunch of work in the 3GT and we are very happy where it is, but we will also be working on continued refinement.

While not 3GT Related we will also be starting Magnuson Tundra Calibrations shortly as well.. Bunch of new stuff on the way so stay tuned.

    Thanks again -

That’s rad from two users, two separate trucks. I think this would go well in the KD vs Overlander thread from guys who have tried many many different tunes.
