I started working at the gun shop July 2020 thinking 'Hell yeah, employee discount here I come!'

Like a month into working there before I was even eligible for the discount it came down from management that employees could no longer buy ammo even at full price

 

Unfortunately I'm just a peon that runs the A+D books

 

A not so center fire 38 spl?
These were fired back to back. Good one first then off center one... Hammer was a little hard to pull back after that

 

Just ran it in the same cylinder again and it hit center this time, tried with a few more spent rounds to see if I could duplicate in different cylinders and they all look good just kinda weird

 

Any chance you accidentally thumbed the cylinder release?

 

I don't think so plus I'm pretty sure it would be unmovable in with the hammer back anyway

 

How old/how many rounds through the gun? Could be a firing pin defect or worn firing pin.

 

Heck of I know lol. I've probably put 500-600 through it but I bought it used 8 years ago or so

 

LGS has some new Remington 870's in stock and one might come home with me later

 

I think the quality of the gun is some what better the action seems to be smoother and less sloppy....

I bought my 870 in 1993

 

Now I just need to find some of the old school wood furniture as it looks like they used the wingmaster stock and forearm on it....

 

I had one that I sold in 2019 to fund another gun then covid hit then they were selling for $900-$1200 bucks I just had to wait till they came back down to a sensible price....
