Saw a display set under construction at my HD with cardboard over the deals, it’s definitely a Packout promo.

I also was eyeing the Milwaukee mower but ended up going with an ego, posted a page or two back. I was also eyeing the impending packout sale at home Depot, but online it looks to be pretty much totes and backpacks only, too bad.

Have multiple closets to line with T&G cedar planks (1/4" thick). Figured this would be perfect for those delicate tongues.

Anyone own the M18 Fuel Oscillating Multi Tool? I had the non-Fuel version and it croaked on some hickory flooring I need to cut. Wondering if the Fuel is that much better. If not idk what to do here. Kind of in a bind — my track saw won’t cut the boards all the way to the wall so I need something else to complete the last 6” of a cut. The $200+ price tag bare tool has me a little bewildered.

No, but I have the M12 Fuel version. I used it to cut about 18 pieces of 60 year old oak flooring to patch/weave in a section. Handled the task with ease.

Front and Rear Locked, 35’s, Chevy 63” swap, Fox Suspension and a bunch of other shit too long to list.
I pinned in some baseboard down my hallway with mine for an experiment. So far after a couple months it’s still stuck on there.

:anonymous:If it were me I would just buy this kit, no need for the fuel version? :lalala:

Edit, go slower and use fresher blades? I ran into this on my old Sawsall and burnt up the motor over taxing it with dull blades.

Hmmmmm. I gotta think the M12 can't hold a candle to the M18 Fuel, yeah? Think the M12 is more powerful than the M18 non-Fuel?
I might buy that just for the cheap battery! But the M18 non-Fuel multi-tool just burned out on me. Motor started smoking and everything :( Hence the questions about the Fuel.

I burned through 2 or 3 of the M12 non-Fuel versions. Had them all warrantied, but finally just bought the M12 Fuel version and its been good so far.

The Fuel line uses more technology for battery, heat and power optimization.

I don't think the M12 is more powerful, it's just worked great for all I've needed it for.

Many of my M12 tools have outperformed 18V and 20V tools from other manufacturers. I think the newer battery technology matters more than voltage in many situations.

Still running my M12 non-FUEL and my Ryobi with interchangeable heads (part of the Ridgid JOBMax tool system). Two always setup for cutting and one sanding pads. I just go slower and have lots of fresh blades.

I think that might be a little too rough. At least in my hands. I’m flushing a bunch of solid wood floor boards to accept a piece of nosing. So however I cut it, it has to be really fine so it doesn’t chip out. I’ve got a fine blade on my track saw with a splinter guard and whatnot so I’m all set there. If I were to use a sawzall I can guarantee it’ll look like a pro did the first 10 ft and then the last 6” we let an ape do it :rofl:
