    Yep. Heard the third gen has filter on the bottom, requiring removal of engine guard if so equipped. The second gen genius must have retired. Haha.

    We have a 2017 taco 2.7 liter and it has the bottom filter as well.
    Good running truck power band is above 4k but pulls strong, 33 mpg

    One is probably offered to toyota in mass quantity at greatly reduced cost, the one we buy is marked up in cost to the general public.
    If you look close the factory belt has what looks like computer generated data, over the counter one has bright bold banded type lettering.

    Yep the 2.7 is an extended cab short bed 2wd. And it is a delivery truck that the company i work for uses. I drive it almost every week day. Ive checked it several times and is consistently between 31 and 33 mpg

    It sure isn’t, because they never made that truck in 2017. The closest match gets 23 mpg. Nice try though.

    On it.
