I’ll be sure to check the windshield gaps before and after the new one is installed. Gonna cross my fingers I. This one lasting longer. The first crack was just a much just under the passengers side wiper, I heard it hit while passing a semi on i5 and when I hit my brakes for the exit a couple miles down the road I heard it pop, then had a nice big crack. This second one must have been a huge rock from a truck going the opposite way on hwy 101 on the Oregon coast, scared the shit out of my wife and had a large section of glass gone with a 1.5” ring around it. Turned into a crack two days later.

Anecdotal observation. Funny, seems some posts on here are full of stress and anxiety while towing with their respective Tacoma’s. In some situations with much less. I’m seeing a trend from some that these Tacoma’s are capable for towing. However, only if you are prepared, know what you are doing and are keeping in mind all capacities. Whereas some on here trash the truck and perhaps just don’t get all the details and nuances of successful towing. Anyhow, thanks for the detailed towing experience.

Very cool. Did you have to remove your emblem to place the overlay?

Hood, windshield, roof all have a lot of mud. Pulled clumps off weeds of the uca's, tomorrow I'll have to pressure wash the mud of the top of the skid plates. Was axle deep in the slop.

Drill crew had high centred their chained up F350 and needed the D6 to get them out.

I made it in and out to the drill but not something I'm keen on doing a couple of times a day for the next month.

I think I mightve gotten it through tacomabeast. I don't remember. I won the winch a while back and ordered the mount around the same time and basically sat on it til I had the time/worked up the balls to do it myself. Try looking online at tacomabeast.com

Removed some stickers with GooGone, plastic pry tool to loosen the left over adhesives, “blue” scouring pad then wiped with some clean old tube sock and simple green solution. Hoping to not have dark spots when it dries…I’ll try to tackle the other side next time.
