Very happy to say that the front drivers side coil overs and UCA’s are installed. Finding the recommended grease for the UCA’s took some searching. Love it though cause SPC provides the parts #’s. Should be here in the morning. Start on the front passenger side in the morning. Hopefully this side is easier

We all start at the beginning, the more you learn the faster you can learn.

Something I have learned over the years is to read all the instructions the manufacturer gives you - even for the simplest of products there just might be something valuable there.

Ran into a problem installing the passenger side coil overs. Got 2 of the 3 top bolts on but the third was really tight. I hand threaded them all till I would get a good fit. As I went down the nut it just would not budge. Took me an hour to get the damn nut back off. It’s trashed. So do I get a new top hat or could I take the stud off the old spring and have the new top hat rebuilt? Pictures below.

    Yup that was cross threaded.

You may be able to find a stud and replace just that stud but you'll have to disassemble the strut to get the hat off if you're doing that may as well just replace the top hat.

You could probably reuse one of your old top hats as long as they are dimensionally nearly identical, just use the new coil isolator and bushings with the old top hat.

Otherwise I'd give Bilstein a ring.

QC everywhere has slipped to due supply and demand issues I had a top nut from Bilstein a few months ago that wasn't tapped straight and caused issue fortunately I caught it and had a viable replacement on hand.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I’ve already spent this much time and $.. prob going to just get new a new top hat. I’m sure they are only sold in pairs. Thankfully they are not expensive. Thanks for the feedback… really appreciated!

The ones you have currently installed didn't come with the 6112's?

This is the front driver side after the install. I sure hope these settle some cause it’s like 4” of lift right now. I’m also concerned of the clearance between the UCA’s and the stock tire. These are stock 18’s. I put the rings on the last notch as this was rated at 2.5” approx for 6112’s.
