Aren't all 3rd gens 50 state emissions vehicles? What would be blocking this mount?

That’s what I thought too but the mention of it not fitting by MORE is what led me to believe that was the difference. See the note on their website that’s the only thing they note that makes it not fit

there’s an abs module (? It’s a puck likely could be bent away) on the passenger side of the mount and on the other side there’s another tube that doesn’t exist on models I see in YouTube videos. See my truck below

LLOD runs this in a 2016 so guessing 2020 is when they changed some things since the truck on unchanged basically the rest of the years

this is the 2016 engine bay with a different hose setup on the driver side of this empty space

    A bunch..and no build thread!
Same reason I did not go with this mount. I wanted to, but it wouldn't work on my 21 OR.

    GLWS!

My 2019 had those two items. Install wasn't a problem. The main thing to look our for is the ABS module in that location. OffRoad and Pro models have the electronic brake booster located on the driver side.

see you don’t have the rubber hose on the driver side in your second photo. For you it’s metal and takes a more parallel route to the metal hose above it with the T fitting that looks capped

Got it. The corner of the MORE bracket is about 1.5" from the small pipe, and 5.25" from the firewall if that helps, but you may have already tried fitting it.

Well maybe I should ask this. You had the vertical sides going left to right of the truck correct and not front to back?

this is how it appeared to fit to the mounting holes I had just that one piece nothing on it. It was simultaneously hitting the rubber hose and ABS module with the two sides. I didn’t think there was any way to force it in there. I think the angles are messing with you as the small hose is like underneath the other metal hose on your truck where mine comes out towards the passenger a bit. It’s such a short hose with metal on both ends that makes it impossible to bend at all

Yup, left to right. Here's another writeup, but he doesn't show a good picture of the driver's side.

Bummer, it sounds like MORE will need to redesign this part if they want it to work with the newer trucks. :notsure:

Yea I was hoping to have the space to add storage or something underneath the compressor. Was still undecided since air tools aren’t needed with batteries these days.

i have a technical inquiry with them to stop advertising it’s compatible for 2020+ trucks and maybe I’ll find my way into letting them measure my engine bay and giving me an updated prototype. We only live like 4 hours away. :fingerscrossed:

would be easy to do just make a cutout right side so you have legs instead of a solid wall. It’s not worth my time re-engineering it. Hoping someone else could use it and help me recoup most of the cost.

Remembered this video of a 2020 and his has the metal hose so the rubber hose that is the main culprit must have started in 2021. So I’d imagine 2020s could fit it easily

If anyone is local I’m willing to help test fit it before purchasing.

Is that what that puck thing is? An ABS module of sorts? I thought it was like another horn and was bending it as I was making my own mount for my Viair compressor last weekend LOL.

its the horn for the alarm. Nothing to do with ABS. The ABS module that would be there for any model except the OR or Pro is large ABS module that is very hard to miss.

You’re absolutely correct. I found this same issue with my 2020.
However, I removed that puck thing, which I thought might be a horn and shoved it was down low out of the way and I had to drill new holes because it wouldn’t line up because of the blockages. I managed to get two of the 3 bolts in with the new holes but since the fit is so tight, it’s not moving anyways. But I fit the air tank, dual compressor and a custom set up with check valves all connected to the air tank. It’s such a tight fit I can’t believe it worked. But it does.
