You never know what's gonna show up at a cars and coffee; The New Hope Auto Show hosts monthly events at New Hope Solebury High School during the spring and summer months, and this little gem showed up yesterday! 199K miles and still going strong!

It is a 1999 regular cab 2.4L/5-speed that seems to be basic trim, but it is quite well-equipped! It has air-conditioning, which is to be expected on even an older Tacoma in this area (In the last two decades, I have only seen two 1st Gen Tacos without A/C in person; A 1998 at a dealership in Northern Virginia back in 2002, and a 2002 at Thompson Toyota in like 2017). This truck also has an AM/FM cassette, which is also not that common on even the most basic Tacomas from what I've seen, but it also has tilt steering and intermittent wipers. The owner (seen in a couple photos) was very nice, but wasn't the original owner and didn't know much about it beyond the engine and some other technical specifications, including the trim; I'm thinking either "LX" or "SX" and the graphics on the tailgate were removed.

Some bubbling/rust on left rear fender; Any idea what trim level it could be?

Maybe trim levels were a little different on 2WD.

Not my truck, just one that I spotted in a flea market parking lot, but it says "Mastercraft Courser"...

Just one of several cool vehicles I saw at the Cars & Coffee last weekend; This 1995 Tacoma LX has an automatic transmission, A/C, an AM/FM stereo, and no other options. I couldn't tell if it had intermittent wipers, but it definitely did not have a tilt steering column. I live in Southeast Pennsylvania, and seeing a 1995-1997 Tacoma in my area is pretty damn incredible because most of them were recalled and bought back due to frame rot over a decade ago! I thought the LX was the top trim back in the day, and it just seems weird that one would have almost no options...?

Love that color and the graphics.

And a single cab? That's a badass little truck.

If you look closely at the tailgate, you see "THOMPSON TOYOTA Doylestown"; This is the same dealer that serviced my truck for much of its life and replaced the frame last November!

I saw this 1997 extra cab 3.4L/automatic in the parking lot of Cabela's on Memorial Day; If you look closely at the lower left corner of the the tailgate, you will see that it was sold new at Thompson Toyota in Doylestown. It is in remarkable condition for seemingly being a Pennsylvania truck!

Sorta like the 450K-mile crapmobile @BartMaster1234 uaed to have, but it's a slushbox.
