Awesome. Safe Journeys in your new Truck. Looks like MP lodge area. Love that place on the Crows Nest HWY. We stop there all the time.

Or you COULD just use some products meant for cleaning and or polishing paint… ya know like a buffing pad and buffing compound. But I guess that’s more expensive than peanut butter.

Got my Matt Gecko led’s mounted. Just need to finish the wiring and debating on a dimmer?!?! First pic is full brightness at over 12 VDC and the second is dimmed down to only 8 VDC.

Got the @ARCHIVE rear extended travel kit installed. My rear end belongs to Archive. I'm so impressed with the quality and performance of the kit. You killed it again. I have never been disappointed with anything you turn out.

Thank you! Actually responding to this as I lie in the shell and sort of wish I got one with more headroom but it’s definitely doable. The color match by Leer is pretty spot on too. I just know your sister is enjoying that MT too!

Installed the Kicker tweeters yesterday evening. Not sure why people love this mod so much. 2nd truck I've done it to with little to no results both times. Fool me twice...

    20220501_164502 (2).jpg

One thing to note is that I followed Crutchfield's instructions and didn't bother with the A-pillars. Seemed easy enough without removing them. It may have been slightly easier if I had, but it saved me some time and aggravation. Just be careful of rubbing the trim pieces against them when working them free, I can see the A-pillars scratching easily.

    Brand new.
    Question,
After installing my new TRD Pro Grille,
I took my vehicle out for a drive to confirm my cruise control was working, how do i verify the safety sensor is properly working to know if the vehicle will stop before i hit something? do i put a trash can out in the road and try to drive into it and see if it stops the truck ?
when i installed the TSS sensor behind the new grill i did it and didn't use any washers to tilt it in any direction, should i have ? I'm kinda skeptical now and wondering if i should switch back to the old grille, i just don't want to get into an accident. my wife told me to drive into the garage door, i told her she was nuts

Not sure yet, I do have some music files in mind that I still would like to play after the swap. Hoping some of those songs that just didn't sound right before are improved now.

Thanks to all the mods on my truck and just being passionate about the overlanding, camping and general outdoors... I am leaving my job with Lexus and beginning work in a few weeks for a van upfitter company.
    Better hours=more family time
Being passionate about your job in general certainly doesn't hurt!

These guys also want to branch out into the overlanding trucks as well so that'll be awesome.

Short of trying to drive into something at speed to confirm, if you aren't getting an error code, the sensor is probably functioning normally.

Put it in cruise control on a highways and set your speed at a higher speed then the guy in front of you.... If it's working you will slow down automatically when getting close to the car in front of you

    Yep, me as well!
Any exposed bare metal gets a shot. Any time I mount something there is a layer of this between surfaces.
I even used a chunk of treated lumber to mount something and that wood got a good soaking of this.

Clarity increased a lot for me, the music and lyrics were less muddy. It may depend on your own level of audio acuity.

Completed the Kicker KS speaker upgrade by adding the 2 Ways in the rear doors. I already had the Kicker KS (Subaru) dashboard tweeters and 3 Ways in the front. Overall I'm very pleased with the sound quality and volume from the system now. I haven't made any other modifications and am running the factory Entune premium head unit. I might add a sub and amp down the road but they sound pretty damn good as is.

    IMG-4014.jpg IMG-4015.jpg

    IMG-4020.jpg IMG-4028.jpg

Two things to note for anyone doing the speaker upgrade in the rear doors...

The clips that hold the rear window trim piece on can easily break or get pushed inside the door frame when reinstalling. I was pretty careful but ended up losing several of them when I went to reinstall. I think you could try and save the clips by carefully removing the clip out of the door frame after you pull the trim off then when you go to reinstall attach the clip to the trim piece first then reinstall both into the door frame together.

I grabbed a 25 pack clips for $8 and now I've got plenty of extras if I ever need to work on the rear doors again.

    Replacement clips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SDF8N97?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

    IMG-4024.jpg

If you get the Kicker KS or CS 6-3/4 speakers and the Metra 82-8148 mounting bracket supplied by Crutchfield the provided screws to attach the speaker to the brackets are a bit too long and protrude out the back of the bracket. You won't be able to get the speaker flush against the door frame as the back of the screws will contact the door frame. You will need to either get shorter screws or do what I did and cut the back of the screws off with a Dremel.

    IMG-4027.jpg

Super easy upgrade all around and I feel like I'm a pro at removing the door panels now
