I was wondering if this is something I could do. I currently have a set of General Spring KC HD leafs that were meant to go on my 2nd gen so I'm not sure if I could put them on my 3rd without any issues.

I know both the 2nd and 3rd gens have basically the exact same rear suspension and I've done my research on these leafs for the 2nd but I haven't seen any threads regarding this.

Pretty much just looking for advice or insight on whether or not I'd be running into any issues and if, like the dakars, they'd lift less on a 3rd gen than on a 2nd.

    Thanks for any help.

I just ordered the General HD for my 2020 Tacoma. Assuming they fit...I will update with how the ride is.

I’ve never owned a 2nd gen, but I believe they had a shackle that pointed downward whereas the 3rd gen has a shackle that points upwards.

The general spring website does not advertise any leaf springs for 3rd gens.

The general leaf springs are advertised as a OEM replacement, i.e. not an upgrade. Unless your current leafs are busted, I wouldn’t replace them.

Just installed the springs. They fit perfectly. Gave me about a 1.5 inch lift in the rear.

How much weight can they take before they begin to sag? I reached out to GS but they could provide no info
