I don't need to do much escaping; trying to get there first. After that, after i settle in, i'll get up into whatever mountains are within 4hrs And really, that state is ridiculously tiny. The city I'm in now is 650sq miles. I can be in/out and around in no time. As far as 'to live'? I'm keying in on a small piece of land with an old farmhouse and room for a couple sheep and maybe a few chickens. I'll be fine.

Mountains of Western Md & WV is only about 2.5hrs away from Aberdeen. So you"ll be close enough for weekend trips.

 

You like the ocean? You’ll be about 2.5 hrs from Ocean City and Assateague Island. You can drive on the beach at Assateague but it’s about 120 bucks. Gets you a year pass though. Assateague you can fish, “camp” but not sleep on the beach and has wild horses you can take pictures of.

 

Ridiculously tiny and over populated. I wouldn't count on getting anywhere in no time around Baltimore.

 

I will admit that is one of the very few things good about MD. You can drive from Mountians to Ocean in the same state.

 

Alright anyone know a shop that will install the SPC Uppers? ExtraMilePerformance won't do it since I bought them through a group buy and not them. F those types of shops charge me a little extra if you are butt hurt I didn't buy them directly from you.

 

I'm about 20 minutes from Aberdeen. I used to work at Aberdeen Proving Ground maintaining helos for the Army. Was a really good job until the contract changed hands to L3, then it went to shit. All but one of us left for better opportunities.

Different mini rant- 2 days ago I gets an e-mail from the MVA saying that they are unable to verify insurance information for my 1999 Subaru forester. Hmmm. I traded that car in about 8 years ago. 2 years after I traded it, I got a $1800 bill from the city of baltimore for impound fees from when the city towed the abandoned vehicle. It took 4 months of back and forth with copies of the sales contract and the tag transfer paperwork before the city "excused" me of owing any money. Apparently Anderson Honda sold the subie to a wholesaler ( no surprise there) that sold it to someone else that never transferred the title and was somehow running around on PA plates. The impound lot tracked me down through the VIN number. When I asked why they didn't try to track down the owner of the PA plates, they claimed that I was the last titled owner. I thought that any business with that POS subie was way behind me.

 

I have no desire to be anywhere around baltimore, ever

 

That's where i'm working. GS type though, not a contractor so I have a little more stability. I hope

 

Thats very common on repo risk vehicles. Around DC there favorite was the Texas One Way Temp Tags or swapping plates with someone else. I'd guess stolen PA plates (I don't think police track out of state stolen tags).
